Larry: 'Do u wanna rematch?' Badass Maidana: 'I fight anyone, goodbye!'

I think he knew he lost, no arm-raising, but was more worn and slightly upset he came up short than flat out disappointed, not to mention perhaps a slight upset with Cortez. He just looked tired to me and doesn't seem like one to talk much. In Spanish what he said was more along the lines of "I thought I won but they gave him the decision by a few and that's fine."

 

This guy is a true definition of a bad ass, slugger type. The stereo type slugger you find on boxing video games. The guy who elbows, hits below the belt if necessary, has the tattoos, etc, and has the punch knock you out, despite having limited skills.

 

I think Maidana has more skills than people give him credit for. Maidana showed he can fight inside, can match Khan for footspeed, and land every punch at different angles. There's not a fighter who's faster than Khan @ 140 and can move like Khan. Can Bradley and Alexander weather a Maidana storm?? That's still a huge question.

Both guys' stock went up for me after this fight. Maidana showed that he is a true warrior, one tough mother****er who you can knock down and he will get up stronger and try to kill you. Khan showed that he has matured and improved under Roach... he has heart and stays calm in the face of adversity. I would have no qualms about this fight getting voted FOTY.
