How would you see a Wladimir Klitschko vs Riddick Bowe bout going? Vitali Klitschko won by TKO, he didn't knock his man out cold. In any event, all fighters decline at different ages. For example, Bowe's decline came soon after the Holyfield fights, whereas Hopkins is still fighting at elite level well into his 40s.
Calling Riddick Bowe a *****, is like calling Mr. Bush a good president. A ***** doesnt stand in there and take punch after punch from a heavy hitting Golota for 2 fights, low blows and all, and not give up. Would you call Vitali a ***** for backing out of 4 scheduled fights with Rahman? As well as calling it quits during a fight against a feather fisted Bryd late in the fight?
Wladmir would keep the fight on the outside, much the same as Golota did, utilizing his superior jab & better power to eventually KO Bowe.
Bowe was so over rated it isn't funny. What's your favorite Bowe moment? Maybe his KO over the great Jorge Gonzales? :rofl
That's like saying Peter was a ***** for not fighting Golota. Bowe had a different agenda, but he was still a top rated heavy. I believe Bowe could have beaten Tyson and have a hell of a chance against Lewis.
Come on RUSKULL, Bowe had 3 great fights with a prime Holyfield, in which havent seen a trilogy like that in the Heavyweight division since Ali/Frazier. I really dont think Bowe was overrated, probably the best inside fighters over 6'3, good chin, as well as power, good character in his early years on HBO, where you seen him joking around with Foreman and the HBO team. His prime was cut short because his failure to train for fights, and between that and the Golota fights, his prime only lasted a few years.
That was against Buster Mathis Jr. I think he would have been disqualified if Larry Hazzard hadn't intervened. Bowe was a classless champion who also surrounded himself with thugs. I also have no sympathy for him.
