Probably because Lewis wasn't remotely afraid of him, was as big as him and had not long before utterly obliterated the boogeyman in Razor Ruddock. Bowe knew if he threw one at Lennox he'd get one straight back at him only harder. It's also probably the reason Bowe didn't step in the ring with him.
It should be noted that Holyfield was way past it when they fought. A few years earlier, Evander would have outhustled him.
Donald schooled Valuev.I think I had it like 9-3 rounds. Then later on they robbed Holyfield against Valuev.so tough to win a decision in germany, at least black then.
Larry hated to train, I have lived in cincinnati for 40 years and back then, I would occasionally train at the gym where he was, he rarely was ever seen training, very little. His Favorite thing to do besides going to Buffet's which he was known to do quite often, was he enjoyed walking the streets of cincinnati til the late hours of the mornings. He would shadow box anyone that offered to try him out, no real punches, just to show off his speed, quickness and ability, which was absolutley amazing to see 1st hand on the street like that. But he was a big star in town and he loved it, he loved the fans and the people in CIncinnati, he would use any excuse he could find to get out of training, he always thought he was so good he did not need much if any.
Cause Donald would've knocked down Page and Williams, and he would've been tight against Tyson.... Yeah, right.
What are you saying? Although Larry has some good wins without adding Valuev's robbery, Tillis was an unrealized promise, he doesn't have a good win. Prime vs prime I pick Larry ud
Donald wouldn't have knocked down either Page (soon to be HW champ) or Williams (high ranking HW contender), and he sure wouldn't have gave a young Tyson a hard fight. Tillis doesn't have the same resume but he generally made a better account of himself against good opposition. Larry has some ok wins with his best peaking at an out of it 2004 Holyfield, but generally fought ok at best opposition and didn't make a good account of himself whenever he stepped up. Robbed against Valuev? Join the party. Prime Vs Prime I got Tillis, UD. No contest.
A respectable fringe contender. Kept active. Beat guys who at least qualified as semi decent. Was only stopped once and you generally had to be pretty good to beat him.
You should watch the fighters and not talk for the sake of talking. I don't talk or fight with rookies.
You're right. I'm a total rookie, and all I do is talk to talk. All us rookies just LOVE to talk about popular fighters like James "Quick" Tillis.
