Prime vs Prime I see larry winning bot fights, a close sd vs dokes and a comfortable ud vs bonecrusher... thoughts ?
Idk. But i think Larry was one of the most boring fighter ever. In Larry's primeonald- Hinton 15-6-1 wSD10. Another question Bowe beat the prime Larry easily. Donald wasn't too impressive. Larry couldn't beat the bum Obed Sullivan.Sorry but Larry was ****. The prime Smith destroyed the reigning world champion Witherspoon in the first round.
I give Donald a chance in both fights I'd favor him vs Smith. I don't know there was something about Donald that just didn't work. He seemed to have all the skills and physical attributes to stand out as one of the better fighters of his era but he never seemed to be able to put it together and win the big one. I'd favor Dokes to find a way to beat him.
Same here. He manages to squeak out a decision against Smith but loses to Dokes. Donald was non aggressive in most of his fights. He didn't set down on his punches and rarely took chances. His record is also padded with grade B and C opposition save of course for some of the men he lost to.
Larry could decision Bonecrusher, but Michael is a different animal, he was tougher than most, and that hand speed only a couple could match.Larry would steal a couple of rounds late, but Michael easily decisions him.
Donald to me is a lot like Carl Williams in the respect that like Williams he had great physical attributes and very good skills, style and athleticism to go along with it but he just didn't seem to have the mentality to put it all together and be great.... That's why Donald will always be a good fighter in my books but not even close to being great.....
Good fight! Donald won clearly. No one destroyed valuev like donald did. Donald was an amazing technician fighter, i dont know which was his real problem
Donald beats smith without question, schools him, and he’d beat dokes because yeah dokes had the faster combinations, but they were just as fast with single punches and Donald was the better mover and had the better jab, dokes didn’t have a very good jab
