Larry Gains KO's Phil Scott in 2 rounds

In my opinion Thil was France best middleweight. I think he would have beaten all the others. He was murdered by the American press and thats why he is not remembered kindly today but he was a badass. I know its an unpopular view but I would only give Cerdan a 50/50 chance against Villemain and Dauthille. That doesnt mean I dont think he was good, or that he doesnt look great in the films we have of him. Its just that he was so largely unproven at MW. His biggest wins were either controversial or against guys who were well past their past days. I dont pretend to know the politics of French boxing at the time but Ive always found it odd that he had two massive domestic matches waiting for him in Villemain and Dauthille and never fought them. Both those guys were in their prime when Cerdan was in the MW division and both would have given him hell.

I think this is good footage. scott looks a bit chinny here, but he looks like he knows what he is doing. He was a profesional fighter for a long time with a good record albeit within a level. thats not awful.
