    I don't think highly of him either, but he was an active fighter, who could hang with fringe contenders.

    This was Holmes first fight in just under 2 years. He had 2 fights across a span of 2 years prior. I wouldn’t say he was totally active and he looked out of shape. Tyson would have the best of training and nutrition etc but an out of shape Larry could still possibly beat him on ring iq alone on a diet of cheeseburgers

    And George Foreman would frame, push, and pull an opponent's guard down.

    Doesn't mean it is proper. Just one of those things refs tend to let them get away with. Holmes got away with a ton of stiff arming throughout his career. He'd also push opponent's faces with his forearm.

    They are both older men. I don't blame RJJ for being cautious and respect Tyson's restaint.
