Larry Holmes falling on hard times?

I think Holmes is ok. He owns most of Easton.

 

Holmes is 60 and friggin' 285 to 300 pounds judging by his interview on that recent HBO documentary..... Holmes doesn't need the gym anymore since he is NOT into training young fighters or even boxing anymore...... His car? Well, he wants a new one.... And Larry Holmes knows his car worth more just because he owns and drives it....... And yes, he does or at least did own a shitload of property in Easton, PA. from way back....... I'm sure "The Homer" is fine and secure...........

I'd still pay 40 to 50 PPV bucks to see 60 year olds "Holmes & Foreman" fight a 10 rounder as long as BOTH dudes take the fight seriously and train hard for three whole months...... Word......

It's been on the market for a year in and a half and he still comes in. He fine financially, he just was talked into being able to make a large amount of money from selling it (I believe one of his brothers is the realtor), so it is priced very high. He always sells his cars once he gets a new one, nothing new there.

 

It must be so cool to train in Holmes gym. And to talk to him too. Must be nice.

 

I'd pay $50 for them not to fight

 

Holmes did not have multiple divorces like a lot of the other big name athletes. His longtime wife Diane married him when he didn't have money and they are still together today. I think Holmes made a lot of good decisions and he is reaping the benefits of that today.

Larry Holmes invested his money better than other American Heavyweight (at least I think so). When he fought Tyson he used the proceeds to purchase a nice commercial building.

I still wish he and Foreman would fight though.

 

Yeah 60 is getting into those years where you would be winding down into differant things.

I doubt Holmes is in money problems, his probably just selling big while his name is still top rank.

 

recently holmes offered a $10 million dollar purse for Foreman to fight him. i imagine the gym and car and God knows what else may be where Holmes came up with the cash to be an initiative for Foreman.

 

I don't, i'd hate to see one of them potentially hurt at this stage of life. They've entertained us more than enough. Holmes seems obsessed with Foreman and he needs to let it go. George don't give two shits about the whole circus. Not that i am aware of anyway.

 

What kind of ride does Larry have? I would think that he'd have multiple nice sets of wheels. I bought the dodge charger below in my driveway back in May.. It has all wheel drive and a Hemi V-8.. I just added a spoiler on the back of it to.
