Ali would beat him no doubt, even before they got in the ring, and there Tyson would be frustrated with Alis movement and after wild first few rounds Ali "survives" and wins UD.
I'm just wondering how much would Ali talk inside the ring, i bet he would not shut up for one second :yep

Another thing about Holmes' book which bemused me,somewhat. He was talking about the classic early/mid seventies heavyweight golden age as being HIS era. It most certainly was n't ! Larry was an up and coming young fighter at that time, but he did n't reach prominence until 1978,which was post golden era.

Larry has made a lot of comments over the years in relation to the sport that could be classified as bemusing. True, he is absolutely one of the ATG heavyweights, but it's kind of satisfying that he wasn't ever an undisputed champion and that he failed to match Rocky Marciano's record by a single bout. He had some 'interesting' quotes after that Spinks fight as well.

I wonder if Ali privately enjoyed the beatdown Tyson gave him in the same way he did Trevor Berbick.

Frazier on Tyson 'we'd hit arms, legs, low blows, this guys a marks man' - you can tell he respects the accuracy and skill of Tyson

Tyson obviously blows out Norton, I think he does the same to Frazier and he might beat Ali/Holmes, his style was basically always designed to get to boxer types like Ali/Holmes

Would it be fair to say that Bonavena actually was physically stronger than Tyson? He really was a beast.

Holmes and Ali would have beaten Tyson probably and Norton no way, and Frazier a toss up.

Tyson weighed just as much as Foreman. And Tyson hurt and beat plenty of guys Foreman's size or bigger!

I would have destroyed Holmes in my prime! Im the Greatest of ALL TIME!

  13. george foreman was naturally much bigger than mike tyson, foreman at amateur weighed 226-230 pounds when he was 18 he fought at super heavyweight, tyson at age 17-18 he fought at hw , he weighed 200 pounds. the heaviest young tyson weighed 220 pounds, the heaviest young foreman weighed 232 pounds. and tyson was packed of muscle, foreman was naturally a 230 pounder, he could have put more weight in his body if he would have wanted it. every big guy who faced tyson was not naturally as strong as foreman, ruddock was of the strongest rivals of mike and he weighed barely 188-200 in his early career, lennox lewis weighed 220 pounds in 1988 at age 23 when he faced bowe, james smith was not naturally as strong as foreman, no rival of mike was as strong as foreman, george foreman was naturally much bigger and much stronger than mike tyson.

Yeah, At 5-10 Tyson was all but maxed out as far as how much muscle weight he could put on. At least, as far as how much weight he could put on without losing anything conditioning wise. He was a Pitbull Terrier. Those short limbs and small joints made him look even more muscular, an illusion of sorts.
