Ali's low hands ended up being left alone because his offense didn't flow as well when he fought in a fundamentally more sound manner.

I never questioned him being the winner, just the margin. I thought Canelo beat Cotto (for example) but saying that "at least Dave 'on the take' Moretti got the right winner" is no excuse for a 119-109 card (or something similar).

That's true with most Canelo fights he has had some shockers.

    118-110 vs Golovkin 1
    114-114 vs Mayweather
    115-113 vs Bivol
    117-111 vs Lara
    118-109 vs Trout

I think one of the judges had him 4-1 up against Khan too.

That I actually didn't have much problems with, from memory. At lest not on rewatch. Watching it live I think I felt that Khan was ahead, but the second time I was rather a bit appalled by the subpar commentary that went bananas for every Khan flurry of glancing or missed punches, but silent on Canelo clean, heavy body shots, On rewatch I thought that Canelo dealt out clearly more punishment and had him ahead.

Maybe it's true but for sure a less troubled life outside the ring and consequently more time for training than Ali.
