Greatest heavyweights list, that is. I'm curious how many people include him... If he's a lock on most lists... And how many rank him above Tyson.
top ten for sure, dont know why people rank him elite, top 3. He didnt clean out his division, or gave rematchs when they should have had rematchs. Still great, but I think he is over rated in once they put him top 3 or 4.
QFT. I have below Tyson for all the reasons stated. And of course he is also below Lennox and Evander as well since 1980.
No way Lennox Lewis rates over Larry Holmes. Point 1 A 42 year old Larry Holmes did better against Oliver Mccall and Ray Mercer than a Prime Lennox Lewis did....LMAO. Point 2 Both got caught and floored by huge right hands twice. DIFFERENCE IS Larry Holmes got up......and defended his title succesfully. Lennox lewis stayed down......and has 2 embarrasing losses on his record.
I have him at Tier3 alongside Lewis, Johnson and Jeffries equaling a ranking between 4 and 7. Tyson would be at Tier5 what equals a ranking between 12 and 15.
I think 5-10 can be justified for Larry...I have him at 8 or 9 and it is Tyson he is interchanged with
I include him at #4. A very impressive boxer who was able to adapt to beat any style. I rate adaptibility very highly.
