This is all true, ive got Tysons book, by Peter Heller and theres lots of stuff about Tyson that was covered up, mainly it was Tyson and women.

Tyson has always been trouble, but Cus tried to guide him and Jacobs and co tried to make him another Joe Louis, King just let Tyson run butt wild

Tyson and Holmes remind me of a married couple.

The one thing i love about Holmes is he continues to diss Foreman at every oppurtunity. I watched an interview on youtube, (but sound was poor) and you could hear Holmes dissing Tyson, Holyfield and Foreman. He mentioned something about his grills but i couldnt hear it properly

For all his trash talk, Larry would've trashed George Foreman in the ring, he'd have absolutely befuddled big George.

Larry Holmes, one of the few people who can give it to Foreman both inside and outside the ring

Holmes is an honest man who will say what he thinks and will stand by it as long as he truly believes it, no matter what others say or think.

He's one of the most consistent people in boxing, listen to an interview with him 20 years ago and listen to an interview with him now, he'll say the same thing on a said subject now as he did then.

I think he is so bitter towards Foreman mainly because Foreman would not fight him, and there was high interest in the fight for the majority of the 90s. A fight between Holmes and Foreman in late 1992 or in 1993 would've made a lot of sense. A fight in 1994/1995 also would've made a lot of sense, but Foreman didn't want the fight to happen, thus depriving both he and Holmes several million dollars.

Yes, and I very, very, rarely think a fighter ducks another.

There were several chances in the 1990s that they could have and should have fought, and Holmes openly called Foreman out after every fight.

In 1999, they did sign to fight eachother, though. The two of them were going to be 50 years old and finally duke it out in 1 last hurrah.

Unfortunately, the promoter realised he didn't have the backing for the purses originally agreed upon (Foreman $10 million and Holmes $4 or $5 million) and was going to have to cut a few million from each purse. Holmes agreed to fight anyway but Foreman didn't and that was that. Both fighters received a few hundred thousand dollars for simply signing the contract to fight.

The fight would've been held in Texas, Foreman's home state.

At the press conference announcement, it was the happiest I've ever seen Larry for a fight.

Holmes was always nasty ****. He still is complaining about Spinks decision? ****, he got unfair decisions agianst Witherspoon and Williams. He aslo got what was an early stoppage against Weaver, who had him hurt a few time He never gave Weaver a rematch.

Tyson would break him into two in a street fight

He'd have a right hand implanted into his face

Tyson is the overall undisputed H2H GOAT and the absolute GOAT at street fights. Holmes would have no chance at all.

In person, Larry is one of the most approachable and fan friendly fighters around. Every time I've been to his bar he's come and sat at the table and chatted for 20 minutes or so. I've heard of him even inviting people to his house when they come to see him at his bar and get talking. How many other champs would be willing to do that?

The decisions against Witherspoon and Williams weren't unfair, close and could've gone eitherway, but hardly unfair.

In what way was the Weaver stoppage premature? Weaver was saved by the bell after being heavily dropped by Holmes's uppercut and came out doing absolutely nothing in the next round. He was already rightfully down on the cards, hurt badly, and showing no signs of swinging back against Larry.

They had a rematch in 2000, when Larry was 51 and Mike was 48 or 49. Larry took him out with a straight right.

Knockdown at end of round 11 at 2:50. Stoppage is like 45 seconds into round 12 after Holmes starts lining Weaver up in the corner and throwing hard right hands and left hooks at him.

    Knockout at 27:53

Is there anything Tyson wasn't the best at?

Apparently he's the hardest puncher, best puncher, best H2H, and best street fighter. Is he #1 P4P, too?
