Sounds like Larry may have done a noble thing.

As I am understanding it Larry wanted to set up his own table to sign autographs for free after being told that he was to sign memorabilia items only for the Hall of Fame. An argument ensued and Larry was told to leave.

More immature than the average kid.

You're not signing gloves that we profit from? Then forget making it into the hall of fame! :| I'm telling mom! :|

The HOF can't hold Larry's jockstrap.

Agree to come for dinner with your neighbours, and start telling them what and how to cook. Silly behavior on Holmes' part.

I think Holmes has a penchant for silly, off-color behavior. He tends to be a little class-challenged at times!

It's possible he didn't want to be a part of the hypocrisy. Unlike all the other major professional sports, nobody takes care of the ex-boxer. 'Course, I doubt Larry needs much taking care of, though I wouldn't swear to that. Now, if he were going to set a booth, charge a nominal fee to autograph seekers and turn around and donate those proceeds to ex-fighters in dire need, that would say something, wouldn't it?

I was at the HOF from Thursday to Saturday, and it was ran terribly. Half of the fighters didn't show up for their lectures and Q & A and they just said "oh well, who wants free stuff instead?". Guys like Whitaker, Camacho, and Ed "Too Tall" Jones all were asses and didn't sign a thing unless you were a cute white girl. Other than that they would look you dead in the eye and say no. This is BS IMO.

You seem to be a little hard on him at times as well.

At least Holmes only signs for cute white boys, like yourself.

Seriously though, that's pretty sad if it went down as you put it.
