Really who didn't he fight ? and what 5 resume would have taken after Holme's ?

because there is only 3 that can be consider dominate heavyweights after holmes Tyson , Holyfield and Lewis and would rate any of there resumes over holem's.

Holmes should and could of fought Thomas, Page, Coatzee, Tubbs, Dokes. He should of given a rematch to Terrible Tim as well.

Ah yes, (thank you for reminding me) I forgot about that awesome knockout of Weaver in the early rounds in the late nineties! For a man at that age, Holmes put together a blistering combination left jab - right cross that was nearly as good as in his prime!

Thats a weak list to hold over Holmes head , perhaps two out of the 6 would even be considered HOF material .

Wlad has a higher KO rate than Tyson, and Tyson DID knock Holmes out.

1+1 does not equal 2 in boxing. Joe Frazier beat Ali and had him down, Ken Norton beat Ali and broke his jaw. George Foreman knocked out Frazier AND Norton in two. Foreman with his higher knockout rate and facing the fighters that beat Ali should therefore knock out Ali? Nope, Foreman gets kayoed by Ali. Styles and fighters make fights not records and KO rates on paper.

    So was your mother.

Larry Holmes fought and took on the best, whenever he could. His WAR against Ken Norton for the Title was a career highlight, and a testament of guts and balls. He fought the best of his era and always came out on top. Judges robbed him of Marciano's record, but Marciano was a protected fighter, unlike the Easton Assassin. Marciano would have died from an Ernie Shavers left hook. He and Tex Cobb rid the sport of the annoying Howard Cosell. Larry and Randall deserve awards and recognition for that alone. His two "losses" to the laughable Michael Spinks were the biggest jokes in boxing, as was Spinks as a "Heavyweight Champion" who nearly **** himself after taking one punch from Mike Tyson. Ken Norton and Tim Witherspoon PRIMED out, today would destroy most of the so called "heavyweight champions" of today. He couldnt KO Ray Mercer, because a younger Mercer had the chin of stone, moron, learn your boxing history. It took Shannon Briggs and an illegal shot to put him down. Mike Weaver would take a **** and cover your entire body and Bonecrusher was a former World Champ who went 12 with a Prime Tyson, something Wlad or Vitai would have NEVER done.

Larry Holmes is, was and will always be "The Man"....he is a Hall of Famer and arguably top 4 of all time. You, knn, might get a job someday as a janitor at the Canistota HOF and might be able to mop Larry's wing.

Thats because your comparing there resume as they exist now, before tyson went to prison his KO percentage was higher then Walds against hight opposition.

True, it doesn't. And my response was regarding spion's "joke statement". Spion thinks that "Wlad has a chance against Tyson" is laughable so I had to remind him of Wlad's KO ratio.

    Even THAT is not true.

When you delete low-quality opposition from Tysons KO list (pre-prison), his KO ratio is approx. 60%.

However, his KOs were different than Wlad's, since mostly he KOed his opponents EARLY. Which on the other side means, that Tyson is a much less experienced fighter than Wlad.

I think Holmes did everything he could have done during his title reign. It wasn't his fault the division was a weak one, but his resume isn't that great.
