Get what your saying but Tyson Fury is an exception to the rest of the stiff SHW's of the last 15 years (K-Bros, AJ) he's loose and relaxed in the ring similar to Larry. OP - Thanks for this, Larry Holmes was one of the greats no doubt, you wouldn't know when this clip was filmed ?? People on YT saying it's from 89 which means Larry would have been past his best by then, not that you'd know it from watching this !!
I know Holmes was sparring Ruddock preparing for Spinks II. I'm not saying this is the footage from 85 but there's certainly a chance it might be.
Older Holmes showing some superb defense in rd 1. Also in rd 2 but opening up with the 1-2 a bit more keeping Razor on the back foot. Excellent footage. That jab still so fast and accurate. It's no slap either that's a hard jab.
Interesting that Holmes went from sticking and moving to making adjustments and digging into the body to slow Ruddock down.
