    Hi Guys.
I have debated for a while as to whether this thread/post warrants a reply or consideration, of late some of the who beats who, has ( in my eyes ) bordered on the ridiculous this post is , nether mind, stay safe guys.

Def. a candidate for FOTC: -

Fight Of The Centenarians. (close enough to, give or take 25-30 years :D).

The winner will receive the highly coveted Golden Bed Pan as their trophy.

My Grandfather was still a pretty strong man in his late 90's. He would have been the first to admit that what speed he used to have was mostly gone.

If both George and Larry show up seriously trying to win, I think George Foreman takes this. Most of his power is probably still there, not so with Larry's speed. I doubt if it goes past the first round. Larry tries to box with poor speed. George walks him down and lands a big one, or maybe two, and the referee, fearful because of the ages, steps in and halts the contest. Foreman wins by a TKO in the first round.

This is the ring walk music I’d like to hear for this fight, George and Larry can share it.

Random, unfiltered thought? You betcha: -

Probably George. I saw a part of an interview with Holmes from a year ago and he didn't look well.

It may go down as one of the most furious first rounds in boxing history...and then the oxygen tanks get wheeled out...:D

A sadistic match up, both are 75 years old. Realistically neither could likely do enough to beat the other.

If made to choose I’d pick it as I would in their primes - Foreman by KO.

The more important question, is who cares, and why aren't you trying to separate them?

There have been doormen who were so badass, that they worked into their 70s and got away with it.

If I had been the bar manager, I would have been telling them to retire.

As for two septuagenarian ATG's fighting each other, we would not want to see that.

I always believed that Holmes would beat Foreman. He had everything necessary to beat George. Speed, reflexes, timing, movement, and defense. In earlier years better conditioning and punch volume too. Sure Foreman hit much harder, but Larry knew how to beat bigger punchers.

I’m new to this forum & I’m sure that fights been done, but I’d pick Foreman by KO personally. High risk fight though, Holmes has the style advantage.

Holmes defense was actually quite ordinary at times. For someone supposedly immune to the left, he sure took an abundance of them from Weaver and Berbick.

He had a tendency to get caught, even in his prime, by guys like Shavers, Snipes, Weaver, etc. Foreman was a superior puncher to all of them, and more powerful than all of them except Shavers.

Foreman was also frighteningly adept at cutting the ring, and I think he'd catch Holmes sooner or later.
