Larry Holmes vs Jersey Joe Walcott

Holmes never faced a slick guy like Walcott. I see Walcott give him some good amount of trouble. But Holmes is the the superior athlete. + I don't see a big punchers chance for Walcott. Holmes has extraordinary recovering capabilities. But i give Walcott good chances to beat the 85 version of Holmes

 

Yes. But I don’t think he would. Larry would have to work real hard though.

 

I've got Larry jabbing his way to a win, perhaps a close decision.
Walcott, when on, was bloody good.

It's always possible, I see Jersey as being under rated as a puncher at times.
But if Larry can recover from Shavers..

 

I think it would be a very good fight. Slick boxers weren’t foreign to Joe Walcott and therefore I think he could do well here. Ultimately I would favor Larry Holmes to win a decision by way of his superior jab and movement but Walcott would be crafty and game, making things tough for him along the way..

 

I believe it. I also think that Holmes vs Charles might be a good one too

 

The best Walcott probably beats an average version of Holmes. People forget how good he was at his best.
