90's Holmes would bruise up Kingpin's face in sparring and send him packing after day one.

 

Taking this a step foreward, from firsthand eyewitness account. Training for the Harold Sconiers fight, a card promoted by Mark Holmes and had Larry as the special guest star, KINGPIN and Larry did a 3 round exhibition sparring at the gym.

Round one showed Larry pumping his jab from different angles, hitting the body, chest and face of KINGPIN. KJ had no answer for the retired HOFer.

Round two Larry hit KINGPIN with a double jab, straight right hand on several occasions. A jab, right hand to the body folded KINGPIN.

Round three KINGPIN started bleeding from the nose profusely, forcing myself and his trainers Dew Drop and Murdock to halt the exhibition...!!!

 

Wow, and that was 2011! Old Easton Assassin was 66!
