I think Holmes would win the battle of the jabs and outwork Lennox. I think Holmes had better stamina and he could make it count. I think Lewis is always dangerous but I believe Holmes has the style and skills to win on points.
Holmes should win this easily, but wouldnt be surprised if he didn hit the canvas once during this bout. He definitely has better stamina, footwork, speed, and of course the JAB.
I'll reluctantly go with Holmes by a close decision, but I wouldn't put a dime on it. I can't see Lewis as being in danger of being KO'd by Larry and he'd be in a good position to land plenty of right hands which troubled the hell out of him. Close fight by all accounts.
With both on top of their games its a pick em fight.I'd lean towards Lewis' superior size, strength, and punch power though.
The think that concerns me with Holmes chances is that he always seemed to have elements of trouble with good jabbers and straight Punchers, Larry seemed to make a habit of leaning back from punches... and if you could get good extension on your Jab..you could give him some problems.. then Larry's Bogie punch seemed to be the straight right hand... Weaver Witherspoon Shavers Snipes even Bonecrusher had an isolated success... and Lennox had a Lethal right hand when it zeroéd in right... It would be up to Lennox to Maintain his effort and not try to play Chess-master with Larry, if he came in determined and Focused, then i think he could do it on Points...
I don't think Holmes had the power to really tip Lennox and LL was not in the bone crusher novice, Lenny could throw that right hand and use the left pretty good I like LL by a stop before 8 but Larry chances get better as the fight goes but I still think LL wins this
I really rate Holmes VERY high...but I rate Lennox higher. Assuming both on their best night i pick Lennox .
Close fight.. I like watching both boxers. Beautiful jabs, vicious combinations, good right hands. I think Holmes will do well with the jab, fluidity and foot movement, but Lewis would hold his own and land that right hand over the top sooner or later. Larry's problem is his pride. Whenever he gets hit by a big punch, he's too damn proud to hold on, to get on his bicycle or survive otherwise. He always mixes it up, and that would be a big mistake against Lewis. I'd make Lewis a slight 60:40 favorite.
