    Odd, but I was viewing my 1995 Halloween special that featured KISS unplugged on MTV and I came across my 1995 fight between "Tim Spoon vs. Everton Davis." Tim Spoon won by via 7th round TKO.... Davis later played 'Holyfield' in the 1997 HBO film "Don King: Only In America."

    Spoon looked good here... This was prior to his big HBO comeback of early 1996 against Alfredo Cole......

    Yeah, it was a close fight that could have gone either way. The only reason it was the least bit controversial is that Witherspoon did SO much better than expected, and fans hate it when an underdog comes so close but doesn't get the win. I personally thought Holmes did enough to win, particularly considering he was the champ.
