Chisora is not a great fighter, yes he had world level experience with Vitali Klitschko, but Chisora is not a greatly talented fighter and when he fought Fury the first time, Chisora was not a world level fighter, he was British level at that time, also Cunningham was 36 at the time of the Fury fight and was a fresh 36 so he had enough left to give a talented yet inexperienced fighter a tough fight and anyone can see that Fury is like 10x better now than he was the, if Fury today fought Cunningham then or even a prime Cunningham, Fury would win comfortably, also if Holmes had a bad performance early on in his career against an old experienced veteran, I would not use that against him
Agreed, one sensational victory does not make a champion the best of all time, have to earn your stripes first. We should have learned from the past, Ingo vs Patterson 1959 and Joshua vs Ruiz 2019, remember what happened in the rematches. Fury has also has been inactive too. Cannot blame Covid 19, other fighters have fought during the pandemic, Errol Spence for example, even Anthony Joshua.
Ingo vs. Patterson, the white hope, was given the first fight, building up the gate for the next two fights. Jack Dempsey, said " Ingemar will beat Patterson in the rematch fight. They cleaned up, lot of money, betting on Ingemar, I won a few $$ myself.
Nobody ever said, Chisora was a great fighter. You seem to be arguing with yourself here. I said he was a fringe contender and he was. He also challenged Vitali as you stated months after his loss to Fury, and by Vitali's own admission gave Klitschko his most competitive fight since his loss to Lewis. Just checked and upon closer inspection you're right. He was set to turn 37 a few months later. He was not a "fresh 36" he'd been boxing since 2000, 13 years prior and had been in wars, and would in fact only have 8 more bouts after fighting Fury, and only won half of them. I noticed you have a habit of hyping of Fury's opponents to be better than they were such as an aging Cunningham, and a clearly declining 41 year old Klitschko who you tried to make it seem like wasn't past his prime, but God forbid someone bring up Fury's performance as a 25 year old, then you cry like a *****. Just like he beat Otto Wallin comfortably in his last fight prior to Wilder? Considering, you used a 35 year old Holmes' performance to analyze how a match-up with Fury would go, I doubt that.
He keeps saying the same ****ing thing about Cunningham even though I've dismantled his argument numerous times. It is a FACT that he was 36 years old, and definitely not a "fresh 36" as he made it out to be, as he'd turned pro 13 years prior and had been in numerous wars. This guy will continually twist the narrative whenever you destroy his argument with facts. And that's only the arguments he chooses to address. I've noticed all of my other arguments have gone unaddressed, cause the guy's a ****ing coward and picks and chooses what he wants to respond to. I agree entirely with everything here my friend.
Holmes TKO 9, Holmes would be willing to win a unanimous decision but Tyson would push him. The fight’s pace picks up and Tyson forces Larry to fight.
Yeah. I like Fury but Holmes is the second or third best heavy of all time in my view. His jab would be the key.
How dare you call me a coward, you have no idea what I have been through in life Anyway, Cunningham had NOT been in numerous wars and he was always in tip top shape and when you do that, you prolong your career, he had the perfect style to fight heavyweight moving around and getting in and out and you have not debunked it, you just said that he had been in numerous wars even though hadn't
I always think if we take Holmes jab away how many fights would have worked out so much closer to losing for him Stevie??
There is no way known to man anyone can back up the claim this fight is a "mismatch". I'd entertain someone putting a case forward as to why it would be a competitive fight but a mismatch and an obvious one at that? That's General forum trash. Actually there are some excellent posters in there so i should take that back.
I was just quoting what someone else said about a different thread with that where they said 'Fury and it's an obvious mismatch' I do believe Fury would beat Holmes, but I was just quoting someone else with that
