This would be a dream fight, I think Fury would be too much for Holmes, his awkward style and natural raw power would be too much of an obstacle for Holmes to overcome.

I think it's a good matchup, competetive fight. I think it's basically a case of a good big man against a good smaller one. I dont see either getting stopped. Fury by UD but Holmes makes it a good fight.

Too much for Larry. Fury (Wilder 2) would win. And Fury (Wlad) would win. I'm not arguing that Fury would dominate; far from it. Fury win SD.

"I would’ve hit him in the body, head, then circled around. Hit him with right hands and left hooks. I ain’t going to stand there and trade with him like Wilder did. It ain’t no match."
Personally, i'm totally on board with what he said.
    Holmes UD.

If 12 rounds Holmes at the very least a comfortable decision win. If 15 would put money on Holmes stopping him.

Fury. Holmes had many close fights with inferior boxers.

Still has fought at a higher level than Fury, it would not be a walkover.

John McDemott total gift for Fury, Otto Wallin Fury lucky not to be stopped on cuts Wallin won 4 rounds, Steve Cunningham dropped Fury heavily and was ahead on all the judges scorecards.

Holmes had close fights vs Williams, Spinks, after almost 50 fights and being aged 35.

And Witherspoon is better than Wallin, McDermott, and Cunningham at Heavyweight.

Holmes gets repeatedly irritated by Fury's throwing his weight around, but he begins to dissuade him with the overhand right. By the 11th, Fury has been staggered with it several times.

Fury bullies his way to winning the early rounds, but Holmes wins by a reasonably close decision in 12, stops him in 14 otherwise.

    McDermott is totally irrelevant.

Snipes and Shavers dropped Holmes hard during Holmes prime. Fury was a prospect for Cunningham.

Wallin didn’t come that close to winning on the cards.

Norton, Williams, and Witherspoon were all razor close, and Spinks took two Ws. Cooney also won his share of rounds before gassing out.

No not really it isn't if your bringing up fights when Holmes was past his prime, then pre prime Fury is also fair game. McDermott fight was a horrible decision so bad infact they changed how British title fights were scored based on this fight.

Came close to stopping Fury on cuts and gave him a very competitive fight.

Norton is considered a very good fighter i don't see him as a inferior fighter ? Witherspoon is considered a top 5 Heavyweight in the 80s.

I already brought up Williams, Spinks, see the post above.

There’s a difference between being a reigning champion or one fight removed from a championship and being a prospect who hadn’t even fought in the US. If you’re counting McDermott, I’ll point out that Holmes was stopped by Nick Wells to finish his am career.

And Norton is far inferior to Fury. Don’t be ridiculous.
