holmes would put a tough fight but kilitscko has every advantage except maybe speed but haye (WHO WAS FASTER THAN HOLMES AND DID HIT HARDER.. COULD NOT CATCH WLADIMIR), size, power, strength, 40 pounds heavier ,more powerful jab, he had good speed and stamina for his size, larry fought wars with a past prime norton, tim witherspoon, he could not stop a guy like trevor berbick.. larry holmes is overrated, i think that klitschko would beat him

Who did Wlad fight like Holmes? Williamson , thats who and look how that ended up for wlad:oops:

Larry fought better jabbers than Wlad. Norton and Williams.

Larry was superior to Wlad on the outside-Wlads only game-and was as good on the inside where Wlad has zero game.
Larry is better at boxing than Wlad.

You are going to honor our bet and leave when Wlad beats Pulev, right?

Exactly. Seems Wlads ability these days is based off word of mouth because the film tells a different story to the mystical being discussed.

Since Wlads fights are so totally un-rewatchable it only stands to reason folks are only watching a few high-light reels on youtube.

Haye fired off over-hand rights behind no jab and from very static movement.

Planet Klitschko - where Haye is better than Holmes and Holmes loses to Wlad in the stamina, jab, chin, heart , inside game, work-rate, punch variation department. :nut

I seen many of Holmes fight live and film. He got dropped badly by Snipes, Shavers was rocked by Weaver, Witherspoon, Spinks and caught time and time again with right hands and an older Holmes got smashed again by a younger Tyson with right hands . Holmes had a great jab and talent but Vlad would be a different level of Jab and accurate puncher. I dont think Larry could survive Vlad guns, especially the right hand over the Holmes jab

Probably a tougher fight for Larry than many would want to admit.

Wlad pretty hard to outbox at this point in his career.

I think he can still be overwhelmed with pressure, which is why I think some elite pressure fighters would beat him, but with his power, speed, size and technique he's not going to be easy to outbox. But if Holmes can control the fight with his jab, he could do it.

I assume we are talking prime for prime here....

Holmes of 81-82, would kick his ass, better all around boxer, has a much better resume, beat way higher caliber of fighters, better stamina could fight 15 hard rounds, Wlad at times had to hang on for dear life just to go 12- (1st Peter fight)...

Holmes had a waaaaaaaaaaaaay better chin stopped only once by prime Tyson in 88, and Wlado has been knocked out by 3 guy's who were not even in prime Tysons league...

Assuming there was a referee that WOULD NOT, allow all of that grabbing, hugging, holding, and other bull**** to fly that Wlado does Holmes Knocks him out in 10 or 11 rounds...

And Holmes got up from shavers and snipes. Most heavyweights would not have. After both knock downs he was beating the hell out of each guy by the end of the round. Both those shots would've ko'd Wlad and most heavy weights in history. Holmes was sick against Weaver and on the downswing when he fought spoon who never came close to repeating that performance. Holmes had the better jab was way smarter and way tougher had an atg chin and recovery prowess. How can anyone even compare these two. wlad fights like he fears for his life. Hes not in Holmes league plain an simple. Watch the films of him if u can stay awake.

One of the most competitive, hard to call dream fights we can name. You can make a good case either way, but I would pick Larry. Holmes had a great chin and tremendous will to win. But then again, I thought Carl Williams outboxed him, and Vlad is way better than The Truth.

Let's not argue, gents. This one could go either way.

Holmes' resume isn't any better than Wlad's and he was less dominant.
