Vlad has a lot more experience than Cooney did and was also more of a boxer used his reach and defence better. You people still underestimat vlads overall guickness of foot. this guy has pro football athletic ability. Chris Byrd and Eddie Chambers (who are both noted for thier quickness ) said that they underestimated his speed going into the fight, but not afterward. That is why chris byrd tried to go at him more the second time because he realized he couldn't get around him I donot know who would win However, I cannot figure what is wrong with somepeople to totally dismiss Vlads assets. He hurts people with his jab.

Valid point, but you're forgetting something. Wlad isn't American, he's Ukrainian.

Well I had this discussion with some friends of mine a couple of weeks ago before the Wlad vs Peter fight and one of my friends pulled up this video here:

He claims that the Klitshcko's skill level is comparable to Cobb's. I think that's a bit of a stretch because the Klitschko's are clearly more powerful. In fairness though Cobb's chin was far superior to Wladimir's. It's crazy though because I do see some similarities in their styles.

Larry absolutely picked the guy apart of that skill level:

Good god. A man who compares Cobb' with Klitchko's should go immediately to a hospital..and at the very least to stop following boxing

I know, Cobb has a better chin than both of them.

Probably better than Wladimir, but I would say that Vitali is a better chin

OK, fair enough, I thought it was a ridiculous comparison and a reach but even you would have to admit that the Klitschko's are not "fluid" boxers and they beat guys who stand still or come forward. We haven't seen them defeat someone who stuck to a good boxing gameplan of movement like Holmes would.

Hey, saying Holmes would whip the Klitschko's is not a diss. Holmes is the most underrated heavyweight ever.

I'm not saying exclude Holmes would be one of the best, but even Holmes is not never encountered that big and hard puncher boxer like Wladimir Klitchko is

Wlad would dwarf Holmes with around 3 or 4 inches of height and out weighed him by 20 to 30 pounds

Wlad uses these advantages to the fullest making himself unhittable

he has improved his foot work and will be able to keep holmes on the end of his jab

Holmes had a hall of fame jab but Wlad's is very powerful and he throws it more than most heavys

Plus Wlad has one punch KO power Holmes did not as Wlad can be dangerous in any round even with seconds left like Chambers

I feel Holmes would have to fight a nearly perfect fight to do it

but hey he is one the best ever at heavyweight so he can do it

Um, Earnie Shavers hit much harder than Wladimir, and Holmes beat Shavers twice. Shavers had better range of motion, a better chin, and put more pressure on his opponents than either Klitschko. So, I'd say you better re-think that one.

Holmes via wide UD or late stoppage over both brothers.

I'm not that sure Shavers was harder puncher at all? But he was much smaller in size, slower and much less talented boxer than Wladimir Klitchko.
Holmes chin will certainly be tested more against Klitchko than Shavers

OK, this is what I'm gonna do, if you think Wladimir can punch as hard as Shavers did, I'm just gonna be nice and tell you to do your homework.

Shavers problem was not strike capability, but deliver to punch right on the target. He's skills and speed was that bad
