Can you plz post the high light reel? And BTW for people reading this revived thread by me, I just randomly clicked the last pg back to revive an old thread, and picked this one when I saw it and remembered about the high light reel.
Holmes was the most complete and well rounded heavyweight who ever lived. When you balnace out all areas to score him in. Stamina, power, speed, chin, jab, recorvery powers, ring generalship, durability, mental toughness, inside fighting. He had it all, and when averaging everything out he's the most complete. Better all round than Tyson and Ali, thats just two for starters. I'm not saying he was superman and was head and shoulders above every other great heavyweight, but he was the best in my opinion.
Everytime i see a post of yours its you wanking on about your dad... Fair enough he beat holmes in the amateur days but give it up... Im sure your extremely proud of your dad and look up to him,but you going on about your dad is like me telling every1 how i dominated players like todd carney, jarrod hayne etc(NOW FAMOUS AUSSIE RUGBY PLAYERS)when we were in our junior days.. Their in the big leagues and im not,and Larry's a legend and your dad aint... Case closed.....
In Peanut Head's defence, he's a lock for Top 5. Knocking on the door for a top 3 place. 20 defences (around 15 of them Pre-Mallard) takes some doing.
Sure. Who else would be up there? Corbett, Johnson, Dempsey (of Toledo), Tunney, Sharkey (handspeed only), Louis (handspeed only), Walcott (footwork), Patterson (handspeed only), Ali and Holmes. Throw out Sharkey, Louis, Walcott and Patterson for their lack of overall speed, and peak Holmes is clearly at least one of the top six. Nat Fleischer flatly declared Ali the fastest heavyweight of all time, and he saw everybody on this list at their peak, from Johnson to Ali. Among the remaining top six, only Ali and Holmes were over 200 pounds at their fastest, and only Ali and Holmes had a reach recorded at 80 inches or more, giving them an advantage over any speedster with shorter arms. (I can't bring myself to rate transient WBA champions, or 12 round era title claimants.)
