168 before Calzaghe beat Lacy was NAMED the weakest division period. No stars. Lacy being not even that good of fighter beat most guys and we did not give a **** b/c he was fighting Sheika and Reid and other cornballs.

What a suprise. Instead of producing decent fighters it is much easier to simply criticize the division

I'd reccomend you watch some fights at 168, because there are some very good prospects

 

I dont rate 118 too highly either, tho 115 is absolutely killa.:yep
168 aint the worst division, but prob 3rd or 4th worst.

 

154 is another pretty poor division, worse than 168, i forgot about it.:deal

Yup, luckily for me the 168 division has had many great fighters over the last 15 years or so... and almost all of em have been from Europe.

That don't make it a weak division though, just weak in the USA.

If Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe, Watson and Collins et al. had been born American you'd have been singing the praises of a highly talented and competitive division for years.

 

Now that I think about. Boxing is shitty this year period. Even the welters are fighting pointless fights and they have the most depth. We know who the top fighters in all of the other divisions are...Kind of a weird stalemate. I want to see Dawson rule 175 which he should soon. But other then that.....

 

Hopefully Calzaghe will fit in a drubbing of Dawson before he retires to answer any remaining questions.

 

Exactly. 168 might not have the history and therefore Americans are perhaps less inclined to fight there, however if you really wanted to shut us up they could easily get a fight against the best SMW

However, I feel with all the attention Joe has been bringing to the division the likes of Pavlik and Taylor may grace us with their presence soon enough. This theory that 168 is **** will be blown out of the water when they are beaten by Kessler
