I don't buy that, considering what I saw against Ouma and Spinks. He was even getting backed up at times, if he was a big punching middleweight that **** wouldn't be happening. Could you see those guys shifting Kessler an inch, let alone going the distance with him?

Lightish puncher was probably a bit harsh, and I buy that he was probably not hugely motivated about those fights after Hopkins and Wright. He's an OK puncher, but if he can put Pavlik on the floor I find it hard to consider his chin granite

It gives me reason to believe Kessler can hurt him badly

Hopkins moved up because he lost twice to taylor after staying in one divison for all his career

the others stayed in one division but were all great fighters :deal

i have both HBO versions on dvd.

only watched the bika fight once

kessler v andrade i watched a few times in the build up to the calzaghe fight .the hbo team were dubious to start with at the start of the fight about kessler and thought andrade had a chance ,but were very impressed by kesskler as the fight went on and were waxing lyrical at the end won over.

 

Kessler looks like Floyd Mayweather next to Pavlik who has ZERO skill. Pavlik has stamina, decent power and thats it. No defense, no speed, average movement.

Kessler would school Pavlik and have too much stamina for Taylor.

 

joe's best win is against eubank not kessler or lacy.

Most fighters move up due to weight issues, or were KTFO of their division like Judah and Mitchell were. Or they move up for money reasons. Rarely do we see fighters move up inweighrt for a challenge. That's about as common a myth as needing to take the belt from the champ.

 

Take it easy on old Merchant guys,,,he's usually wasted when he's making ******ed comments. We have all been there

 

I would have rather seen Floyd fight Casamayor, Freitas, Spadafora, or Stevie Johnson instead of N'dou, Sosa, Bruselles, or Gatti.

I could care less if Floyd loves the WBC or any other corrupt organization.
