Have some respect, you young scamps! Larry has his style, and in this day and age of plastic people afraid of what they say or how they are perceived by sponsors, you should be thankful.
Larry is the best. He can take an hour to say 5 words for all I care, i'll still enjoy listening to the guy. Douche bag thread starter
Call me crazy, but...I have no problem with cutting down to two announcers. The play by play guy...and then a retired (or active, but experienced and well-seasoned) fighter or coach doing the color. Two-man teams have worked fine for Showtime, Versus, FSN, ESPN, most MMA broadcasts, K-1... Really HBO is sort of alone in always having to have three voices calling the action (Showtime does sometimes as well but seems less rigid on it). Lampley and ___ (rotating cast of Steward, Foreman, Jones, Lewis, Flores, Tarver, etc...)
He was like why did the ref break it up while quintana was rocking him to the body ,...and the dickriders...lamp and stew were like..uhhh ahhh...ahhhh.... larry wasn't on the same page he was suppose to read.
I like the way he talks, you can see where he is going with something before he gets half-way through the question, not only does he ask ballsy and sometimes close to the bone questions but he takes his time doing it.
i think merchant would have let mayweather and mosley have a debate in the ring instead of how kellerman was all about trying to stop ****.... kellerman thought he was in a battleroyal for real.... scared ass *****.
larry will compare pop music to wars that happened before christ...to the fight at hand. he don't like floyd too much though.
YOU GET IT! B. Larry's ol' school to the bone -- uncompromising, incisive 'n the guts of the game -- not easily replaced by some walking Wikipedia.
