you guys where so right he truly gives floyd respect...also he said he would fight oscar and mosely earlier in his career [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhIB8be86w4[/ame]
Larry need to stop getting on Floyd ass. He always say negative stuffs about Floyd, why not be positive and talk about the good stuffs like Floyd giving it back to the fans with offering of free rooms, buffets, and limo rides from the airport when they come watch his fights.
Floyd should be grateful that such a great man as Larry Merchant thinks it's worth his while to comment on him. Fish on? When do we set the hook?
Larry prefers to watch the rough and tough brawlers rather than those who conduct the sweet science. Therefore he is an extremely biased idiot.
I don't mind any of the HBO team but i'd say Lampley can be more critical and harsh about fighters than Merchant. Larry is pretty fair he just ****s the ordering of his post fight questions up and takes far too long to ask them.
i feel like that two if he just asked his questions in a better order he wouldnt seem like such a tool
It amazing a tool like Larry can stand out from the crowd of negative boxing pundits. The problem is he stands out for being negative about all the wrong things. In a sport with so many problems Larry can't find anything legitimate to complain about. The man literally can't find his own ass with two hands and it embarrassing for HBO they have paid an incompetent employee for so many years.
Merchant and FMJ is just a personality clash. No bigger picture to it, really. But if pressed, I would say that there are things about FMJ that Merchant doesn't like, and he has a tough time maintaining that professional line at times. I.e., during the Ortiz fight, Lampley said something along the lines of "that was a entertaining round", and Larry chimed in "a rare occurrence in a Mayweather fight". Unnecessary.
