BS. I can name 47 exciting Floyd fights.

 

Maidana Floyd 1 was exciting only because Maidana gave 0 fcks.

 

That's funny, when Merchant used to call a lot of his fights from 130-140, he would shower FLoyd with many compliments:

"He's an offensive virtuoso."

"He comes from the same style of fast handed Michigan fighters as Ray Robinson and Joe Louis."

He only really started going in on Floyd after the Hatton fight. He was ok with his competition up to that point aside from maybe Carlos Baldomir (he chastised Mayweather for being too safe in that matchup.)

 

They why is it that Manny hadn't made a $20mil payday until he fought Bradley. He was getting bullied by Arum and having wars but not making money.

 

Lame attempt to get Floyd to stand and trade to make it an exciting fight instead of a boxing clinic. Essentially saying fight Manny at a lower power level to make it interesting in DBZ lore. It's really lame and pathetic. It's boxing, not mma and there is science to it. Larry would love mma since he's such a cheap thrill enthusiast. It also tells you Larry knows who's going to win. He's a biased fan when it comes to Manny and just like most Manny fans, he "wants" manny to win, but doesn't really believe he can or will win the fight.

 

WHAT!??? LOLOL Floyd hasn't yet had a career defining fight.
Manny has had several!

Floyd's fights are sparring matches, he can't hurt opponents let alone drop them.
His fights look like Amateur boxing.

Merchant is dead on correct. Its simply amazing so many people buy tickets to Floyd's fights, but then you realize they only buy them hoping to see FLoyd get KTFO.

Well I like watching his fights, to me it's exciting (obviously I was exaggerating with 47), opinions.

 

You know the bolded part is such a silly misnomer.

So if he's not hurting these 170 lb fighters on fight night, than why don't they just go for broke, charge up on him and start throwing a ridiculous amount of punches?

The guy obviously doesn't have 1 punch KO power, but he could knock you out/get a fight stopped through the accumulation of punches he dishes out.

You're talking about a guy who carried around a 70% KO percentage at 130 lbs (27-0 with 20 KO's.) He's obviously packing something in those fists if he's stopping guys like Corrales and Genaro at that weight class.

So he's not knocking guys out anymore in his 4th and 5th weight classes. Does that surprise you at all? He was never a KO artist, so it's foolish to think he would try knocking guys out who are naturally larger than him.

But the guy packs a pop in his punches. If he didn't the opposition would just jump in on him and go for broke. And last time I checked, they don't really do that.

 

You can't say Floyd hasn't fought anyone then finish off saying millions watch to see him lose.. And isn't his ko% like 67%?
