Larry Merchant is an a***e and i see why fighters dont respect him

    I'm not even talking about him not giving berto credit ... he's giving credit to hernandez and when berto knocks him out he says "if it happens tat quick its not berto it was the other guy" ...but that's 1 of many stupid things done by him ...

    What bothered me most is ... Jason Litzau beat Caballero ... he's exited and he's running arond talking about how he won and he goes to the HBO table and he's talking to the table .... Litzau extends his glove for props ...BITCHASS Merchant has the nerve to lean back on his chair and wave his hands (as if he was saying no) and proceeds to give Jason the thumbs down ...

    Now wtf is that ..... what bothers me about this is that jason clearly won and he was a 13 to 1 underdog .. if I'm an announcer for boxings biggest broadcast channel in my country, I don't care if I bet money on the other guy or the other guy is my brother, I'm going to give him credit ... if he wants some credit "hey kid u fought a hell of a fight" .. he wants a pat on the glove ... ill do that .... give the guy some credit that's all ... he's a fighter too and he wasn't expected to win ... he was even expected to last 5 rounds and he won ... don't **** with the kids head ... **** Larry Merchant

    EDIT: thanks to a post by GURU059 I've been corrected.. mechant didn't thumbs down Litzau ... those gestures were meant for Lou DiBella... he is caballeros promoter ... with that said he is still an ass and he still ignored Litzau ...

    Well in fairness Larry was talking Litzau's performance up all of the rest of the night? We didn't hear what Lizau said to him did we?

    thing to do...plus his pro and con comment. Lampley and Steward were dead silent when he said that. I think he was trying to be witty but he was just an @sshole all night. ive defended him in the past, but I think its time for him to put down the mike.

    Larry has always been a *******.....I think as he sees death knocking on his door step...he is becoming more of a bittery old *****. I


    I use to love when Foreman and Jones where on HBO because they loved to point out to larry that A) his ass never boxed....and B) he was a *******.

    no and neither was lampley or kellerman emanuel steward was a national golden glove champion and hes the best trainer alive so actually knows what he knows what hes talking about not like those other 3 stooges

    **** that ****... if Litzau went over and said "larry u bitchass ******* ... I proved u wrong and I made a name for myself ... give me my props .." larry should give him his props ... larry left jason hanging and gave him thumbs down ... ur a commentator .. like it or not ur actions are a reflection of ur network ... and that's why Max Kellerman gets most of the shows now ...

    But look at how stewart handled it ..... he gave litzau his props .. I don't know exactly what he said but I heard the words "right ..... and ..... great fight" ... he might have fekt the same way as larry but he was a pro about it ...

    Like I said before ur actions are a reflection of ur network ... and hbo didn't look good last night
