Larry Merchant is the biggest a***hole

There was nothing disrespectful about his interview with Katsidis, I thought he handled the matter very well. What the **** are you idiots on about?

Actually, I found his dismissal of Berto's knock out of Hernandez as bad as anything else he did tonight.

Dude wasn't even counted out before Merchant pissed on Berto.

 

I like Merchant.

 

Although I agree here, he still could've approached that whole thing better. The question he asked him was a bit awkward and tactless ("Do you think you're brother would be proud of you tonight?" - how is he supposed to answer that question?). He may not have had bad intentions, but he should've stayed away from the whole thing if he wasn't going to do it right.


Having said that, giving the two thumbs down to Litzau was just plain bizarre and dickheaded. :-(

 

Thanks for the video. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It didn't show the Litzau snub, however so I'll reserve judgement on that.

 

Agreed, that was a stupid comment too.

He basically said if a guy wins very impressively, he takes credit away from him. :-(

Senile old ****. The interview with Marquez was awful as well - just focussing on the Knockdown nothing of the wonderful display of skill and heart. But bringing up Katsidsis brother in the cold hearted manner in which he did it - he's got to go. Senile old ****

 

As said earlier, Larry's thumbs down looked like he was responding to Lou Dibella, not Litzau.

He brought it up so Kats could say some thing about his brother, the bout was dedicated to his brother, so why not bring it up? and I think he cut him off as he was stuck for words after he said what he wanted too. IMO

 

I think he was giving Litzua thumbs down because he was in a middle of a conversation with someone and Litzau came yelling and interrupted them.

 

If you wach the abve vid , Larry points at Dibella before he gives the thimbs down.
