Larry Merchant, Jim Lampley, and Manny stewart

Lennox Lewis is great only because he sometimes gets legitimately excited during fights haha.

It's hilarious to watch him say "HE'S GOING! HIS LEGS ARE GONE!"

Merchant has ALWAYS been a giant ass. He's funny because he tries to liken a boxing match to Socrates or some other unrelated party.

Lampley is an egomaniac, but has some play by play value.

Manny is a little too repetitive for my liking.

Big George was great, because he's lovable, funny, and actually has a little bit of experience in the ring haha.

Roy Jones was very good also, because he could give insights on angles, and tiny disparities between fighters that no one else would notice.

I'd love to see Tyson or Toney do it. Tyson knows all the history of boxing, as well as anyone, and Toney would probably just make fun of everybody.

Without in ring characters (Ali, Tyson, etc.), HBO could use some guys that would command audiences just because they're there...

Max. He can do play-by-play but they aren't letting him because that is Jim's responsiblity.

 

Manny Steward ... hands down ...

They all like they don't know **** about the sport - even though they've been around it for over 20 yrs ...

I would expect more out of Steward who was an amateur boxer and an accomplished trainer on the elite level.

I personally think they all get drunk before the fights and just bull**** with the fans.

 

Wasn't Merchant known for being drunk on fight night or something like that?

 

I don't know if Merchant was drunk, but I KNOW Lederman has been drunk on the air while scoring fights.

 

I know. Steward all but went down on DLH. I mean he was all over him. And at one point, Merchant interferred and said, "Even despite the level of competition he is facing tonight?"

And how about when Steward said that DLH might have the best left jab ever. The guy is a moron.

1.I like Lamply he seems to know what he talks about. The only time I hated him was a fight I don't remember it was recently, but he said somone was punching the guy then he said 9, 10, 11, 12 and not 1 punch was connecting

2. Merchant is funny as **** and keeps it real, my only problem was what he did to Tszyu after the Phillips fight. He was being a ***** and Tzyu said can u be nice and don't talk to me like that, but he wqas still being a ***** and I believe stanch the mic from him.

3. Tis fight is going exactly the way I thought. Bet he din't expect it from his fighters.

Merchant, Lampley, and Steward are all drunk before and during the fights ... the only who isn't is Max Kellerman and he should be because he makes no sense at all

Merchant is the best out of the 3 because he doesn't give a **** about what anyone thinks and will ask the questions that all the fans are wondering themselves. He was the one that told PBF and DLH that no one wants to see that fight again ... why do it again? ... everyone knows the outcome.

Check out that cheesey ass grin of Stewards and check out the nose of Merchant and the cheeks of Lampley ... those guys are buzzed ...

 

There is no way that Lampley is drunk because he talks way too precisely and fast to be drunk.
