It sounds as though Merchant is saying that Mayweather's possible fear of losing to Pacquiao may be driving his insistence on the drug testing, etc. Could such possible fear help kill the fight? :think

    Maybe.

On the other hand, Pacquaio's possible fear of being exposed may be driving his insistence on a cut-off date.

Anything goes in the wonderful world of speculations.

If Pacquiao is afraid of testing -- of being exposed -- then why would he have just consented to a randomly-ordered drug screening by the NSAC?

Doesn't sound like a guilty man, but who knows?

Of course he's afraid and more than ever... I don't see where Floyd's jab and fast shoulder roll to his right can prevent him to get tagged here. Pac's coming from his rightfield with a left hand and he comes punching from downstairs... Besides, Pac unleashes a natural right hook after opening his opponent up with a left to the body. Floyd has more reflexes on defense rather than JMM, Ricky and Miguel A Cotto had altogether but he's not sure he can skip all of those punches... And since he's not stupid, he may know he can go thru hell to overcome those punches taken like against Ricky when he stumbled back on the first stanza... Of course he knows that losing is a possibility and we just don't know if he wants to run the risk of falling from that cliff... Yeah, once you're way up there like Floyd is, you're a cliffhanger more than a climber!

Yeah its just a random test. How much "concentration" do you need during training camp that 3-4 minutes will throw you off of your game. I am pretty sure they will let you finish whatever it is that your during and not sack you in the middle of a workout and stick a needle in your neck. I guess that would cause him to lose a fight. How unreasonable. Well... it be unreasonable if you were actually on the ****.. but hey thats speculation.

If a pro athlete in ANY sports refused to take a steroid test no matter what the circumstance and is part of a mega fight. or mega event. They too would be labeled either a cheating son of a ***** or a scared son of a *****. We all know you whores dont follow other sports and dont know whats been happening as of late. Just google steroids in sports and you will see why a boxing urine sample before and after the fight is basically useless. What the **** kind of people are you. You are against ****ing sportsmanship.. at the end of the day that is all the **** it is. I guess you take your heros any way you like them.. just as long as they keep winning. Dont break the "cycle" Ingrates.

**** tests in boxing are worthless for the most part, I think most can agree to that And personally I do think pac in innocent until proven guilty, but the fact he is so damn picky about these blood tests hes raised my eyebrows honestly.

The part you seem not to be able to grasp is that, if Pac goes by the rules and procedures of the state commission, it is not his obligation to do any more or any less. It doesn't matter how effective or ineffective the tests are as long as he (or any other fighter for that matter) does what is required of him by the sanctioning body. If you don't like the rules go get them changed. I doubt that will happen in time to save this fight. Maybe since everyone is so concerned with how ineffective the NSAC testing is, they should have been crying about that well before these negotiations started. I can't believe people are so blinded and can't see what is going on, it's so transparent......................................
