Fine, I will criticize him without bringing up Floyd. Larry Merchant is a ****ing old racist drunk, he sounds loaded on air and speaks at a speed of 1 word every 5 seconds. Then he goes and scolds Shane for being tight, talking down to him like he is a child. That is why his old ass should be shipped off to a retirement home.

 

Merchant is biased but he can be a joy to watch because he is so tough. The stand-offs he used to have with Tyson are classic. Tyson would try to intimidate him, but Larry wouldn't back down. It came to a point where Tyson just wouldn't do interviews with Larry. The sight of Larry shoving that drunk guy out of his interview space was classic. Like him or not, Larry is a badass.
