I think its pretty safe to say that Galaxy is not greater then Pac.

I think its close between him and Harada...When you actually look at the quality of fighters beaten and dont focus to much on the weight hopping..Harada has the better wins..he just didnt have as many nor as many trinkets.

If Harada fought in Pac's era he would have probably been a 4 or 5 division champ..He would have won titles at 115 easily, a division that didnt exist when he was around...More then likely he could bag a title at 122 aswell, another division not around when he was a fighter... seeing as he was essentially robbed of a title at feather you could just about count that as a title.

Add to that his undisputed flyweight and bantamweight crowns you can see why the apparent statistical superiority of Pac's record aint so superior.

Manny still has a career to forge though...I think he will leave no doubt who the greatest Asian fighter of all time is by the time he finishes.

Look people, as great as Khaosai Galaxy is, he is just as great in the same manner that Ricardo Lopez is great.

    Look:

Galaxy never ventured outside his hometown, much less moved up to a bigger weight class to test himself against bigger and stronger men.

And what great name does he have on his resume that measures up to just one of these three, MAB, EM or even JMM.?

    None.

Galaxy is a beast, yes against a competition that is a level below him. And that took him a long way. You don't have to look far these days to find an equivalent. See Darchinyan. And to think 115 today is now a quality division packed with a lot of exciting fighters who can definitely compare with Galaxy. Arce, Montiel, Donaire among others.

    This is fact.

clueless about who? galaxy? he never went out off his turf and was an overrated bum who ko's tomato cans, a plodding slow fighter with lots of power, but his reputation in the boxing world is kind of like chris john right now. are you kidding me?

if he had fought tapia he would have lost.. tapia UD

Yeah, and since the fight never happened...why mention za fighter you think would've beaten Galaxy? There was a fighter who called Tapia out for years and never got a fight with him. I like Tapia, but maybe he shite himself every time when the name of this fighter was brought up.

    :huh

I dont think they are comparable...Ricardo left no doubt who was the man at straweight by beating all of his rivals...Galaxy did not..

When he moved to lightflyweight he dominated probably the best available champ at the weight seeing as though he had already destroyed one of the other titlists when they were at straw...and the others were shortlived champs who werent that good anyway. Also beat two former champs..one formerly a very established straw champ, the other a current titlist moving up to face him.

Galaxy did none of these things...He was quite a good fighter though but he is missing so many names from his resume..Why? Dont know..irrelevant really..the fact is they are not there.

Sorry if my post sounded like I'm comparing Lopez with Galaxy. I just mean that they both fought in a division that fit their dimensions and was really dominant there. That's quite parallel with their careers.

And that's the only thing you can say about Galaxy.

How do you overrate a H.O.F fighter? He was paid good money overseas and fought in a division that wasn't even talked about then. But forget that. I'm a Floyd, Abraham and Cal fan lol. You can go on about Galaxy if you want lol, but Pac has been beating up on old Mexican heroes lol...

Then alright, if MAB, EM and JMM were old and indeed shot when Pac beat them. Who should he have faced during those years? Give us a valid reason why he should have faced that fighter during the time we has fighting MAB, his trilogy with EM and two wars with JMM.

Ring Magazine rank him the 43rd greatest fighter of the last 80 years...Above guys like Roy Jones Jnr, Lennox Lewis, Kid Chocolate, Jose Napoles and Wilfredo Gomez to name a few.

To sum up that is criminally overrated...There were guys in his division at the exact time doing exactly what he was doing against better opposition just with a different belt...they are ranked no where near as high as Galaxy, not even close..Why I ask? How do their achievements pale in comparison to Galaxy's? It just does not make sense.

Guys like Watanabe, Roman, Konadu, Sugar Baby Rojas...look at their records they are comparable.

Couple that with the fact he just didnt look that impressive on film...crazy power, well built, seemingly very good durability but other then that didnt look overall that good.

I think even his HOF entry is dubious and has forever set the bar just that little bit lower for admission IMO.

Thing is he was truly a very good fighter...top5 at the weight alltime hands down IMO..but these ridiculous and undeserving accolades take attention away from that..and more and more people are thinking that way.

This arguement has been discussed throughly on here over the last few months.

I actually feel Galaxy would have been an excellent bantam when you consider his physique...Thats why I wondered why he didnt go after someone like Canizales ..who clearly would have traveled if an offer came his way....or the guy who ko'd his brother for the WBA belt
