Larry Merchant or Max Kellerman

Ill take merchant ....he keeps it real and lets you know if a fight is a JOKE even before the fight takes place.....lol

I remember him commentating on one fight and he said "This is Garbage"

Merchant hands down I used to not like the guy he is very slow with his speech but does as they say keep it real

 

I hate Merchant.. it is time for him to retire... Max is ok, I'll take him over Larry. I also hate Larrys' interviews, he takes an hour to ask one question, then he always has some fairytale story as his closing words that have nothing to do with the fight..

I personally like when Lennox does the commentary.

 

Boxing is an old-school sport, and you cannot go more old school than the Merchant of Ukraine.

He pulls no punches and tells it as it is. No sacred cows, and that's probably why the bigwigs are trying to get him off the coverage. With the limited schedule HBO gives him now I miss him already.

Enjoy him while you can, because unlike most of us he has been with and covered generations of great fighters. This perspective gives him the right to say what the **** he wants to say if it is anything even remotely connected to boxing at all.

Merchant has already forgotten more than Kellermen will ever know!

 

Merchant, hands down.

In Kellerman's defense, he seems to be trying harder to be objective.

IMO he has been a lot less bias than Lampley.

Agree. Lampley works hard for his employer, but I remember a time when Kellerman was one of the biggest nuthuggers around!
