    I'll ask the same question I always ask when this topic comes up.

    For a guy with 40 plus years of boxing 'expertise', when was the last time that you, the fight fan, learned anything new or interesting about the fight you were watching from Merchant's commentary? When was the last time Merchant dug into all that 'experience' and gave you something to look for in a fight or provided you any usable historical context for what you were seeing?

    He just doesn't like disengaged defensive tactics. He was clearly happy and satisfied at the end of Ward-Dawson.

    I like his contributions, he is good value.
    Honestly, if only he was 50 yrs younger ..he'd be kicking off in the post fight interviews.

    Yea he should be honored to see these guys fighting,didn't he say something like Ward and Dawson would rather fight the guys on the under card or some other bs..

    Let's be real. The only reason half of you people like him is because he hates on Floyd. Also the reason most Floyd fans don't like him.

    Callate "I'm so jealous of" Negros just doesn't like black people. So it's not hard to understand why he likes Merchant.

    But let's stop acting like the reason you like Merchant is because he's "keepin it real". You only like him because you agree with him.
