I think that Larry Merchant would've exposed the corruption and he would've asked the question ... to Diaz and expressed to Diaz that he thought Malignaggi won.

Then he would asked Oscar about what Malignaggi is saying, "is it true Oscar?"

I don't think Max Kellerman did a great job of creating some buzz and some drama.

Yeah, Merchant would have actually done his job instead of just trying to keep it.

I like Max and he's done his share of calling things out. I guess he gets no credit for that. Last night, he was highly diplomatic but he actually got a point across, though he was subtle. He mentioned hometown judges, big time promoters. Would Larry as an older man who couldn't give half a damn at his age about getting canned have gone further? Yeah, probably. But I think Max has always conducted himself admirably since being with HBO. It wasn't Max's best but it wasn't bad, to me. I think I'm an ESB minority as far as liking Max. But I couldn't give half a damn about that.

Merchant? Since when has he appreciated the slick boxer over the pressure fighter?

The funny thing about it is that he wouldn't let Malignaggi vent ... why couldn't he have atleast done that.

    Gale Van Hoy 118-110?

That should've been addressed and i'm sure that someone would've found her for an interview.

He might not have found it entertaining but i'm sure he scores the fights himself (in his head) and if it was as obvious as last night then he would've made a case for some possible corruption.

Lennox thought Paulie won the fight ... and made validated his post fight comments.

For Max to blame it on Malignaggi's lack of ethnic (Italian) following the reason for such a b/s decision, is him making validating **** like that happening. It shouldn't matter if he has a strong following or not ... if he won the fight, he won the fight ... that also makes it seems like the crowd judges the fight and not the official judges.

Paulie also said that he was guaranteed a fair shot ... how gangster is that, they look him in the face, tell him he's getting a fair shot and then screw him at the end.

You definitely know Merchant. He would have put Diaz and Oscar on the spot.

My thoughts exactly. Even though Paulie was a clear winner, given Merchant's hate for brash talkin slick fighters... he woulda probaby appaulded the decision.
