    Honestly, I think he was protecting Paulie from saying something stupid.

    I get that he was mad, I scored it a draw and it was close and could have gone either way, the fact that the cards where so off is bull****. That said he could have handled himself better in the post fight interview. The press conference was great though:lol:

    Yeah. I'm not sure what's going on in this thread. Merchant doesn't like slick boxers, and there's no way he would have let Paulie vent like that. If anything, I think he would have cut the interview very short. The notion that he would have really put GBP, Oscar and Diaz on this spot is laughable to me.
