    It is a shame merchant isn't 50 years younger and we wouldnt of had to listen to his patronising bull**** for years. Just coz your old doesn't stop you being an arsehole which he always has been

    There's something about Ortiz that creeps me out.

    Too much smiling, touching gloves, hugging, kissing, being okay with the defeat etc. It's all a bit weird, especially when he's just been flattened in round 4 :patsch

    On the Larry issue. I actually agree with everything Floyd said, he probably just went about it in the wrong way :lol:

    Agree with that. He never gives him credit and is unnecessarily truculent with him at the start of interviews, which ruins the whole thing from the off.

    Floyd usually does something to deserve it. He wouldn't get such flack if he wasn't such a braggart, especially when he's so safety first.

    No, that will NOT suit their argument. They will not answer. I remember Larry giving Floyd HUGE credit after he beat Judah. In fact, he gave Floyd huge credit for beating Ortiz.

    Floyd fans just can't accept any sort of balanced view on the guy.

    It's hilarious that Floyd's apologists are going on about how Larry doesn't ever give the man credit. He was actually in the process of doing just that when Floyd kicked off like a ginger step-child.

    Larry Merchant: "You were aggressive...in control of the.."

    Floyd Mayweather Jr: "Y'know what!!!"

    Merchant is a *****, his questioning is always awkward and obtuse and he never gives Mayweather any credit, this had been brewing.
    He kind of deserved to be told where to go, he is well past his sell by date.

    I'm mixed on the situation...

    Merchant is usually an absolute bellend with Floyd...

    But the time he was giving him credit, Floyd goes on the warpath
