Honestly bro....this situation has SO MUCH GRAY areas. It's really on par with the way fight fans view fights. It's subjective and can be taken many ways. Both Floyd and Manny have their stance and both have strong cases for why they took the stance they have in killing the fight initially. I for one agree with you that I can't WAIT for this **** to be over. We are talking more about drug testing than the fight itself. Floyd has his reasons for asking and Manny has his reasons for pushing back on the particulars. Bottom line is I don't think either man is dirty and feel this fight has to happen. With or without the tests. Who ever gives in or if they agree to a compromise I could care less. I just want to see the fight and the questions on who the best between the two will be answered. Of course we'll see that who ever wins, there will be excuses to why "their guy" lost. See Floyd dominating Shane...now shane is shot, old over night and was "cherrypicked" by Floyd.atsch FLoyd and Manny will NEVER...EVER get the credit they deserve from everyone....but from the majority they do. Which is more than enough to be satisfied.
I don't see what is puzzling. Floyd will stick with the blood testing as he iether comes through clean and he makes his money, or Pac is dirty the fight falls through, people start questioning Pac's legacy and Floyd will be remembered the greatest fighter of his generation and Pac will be slapped down. Floyd wins either way, he can earn that money fighting a couple of other fights and Pac will be outcast. It's win win for Floyd.
What kind of fighter insist on extra 10 mil. Dollars for every 1 pound his opponent goes over? A very scared one :straight face =/
I'm not a mind reader therefore I don't know what their true motives are. But the logic I presented can apply to anybody. If you ask for a discount on one candy bar then chances are you don't have enough money to pay for it or you're the most obnoxious person ever. I'm not siding with Floyd just because I'm a fan of his. In fact I'm not. I'm judging both guys based on their actions. Both sides have shown contradiction. However Floyd can at least say he's 100% drug free or damn near it. Can we say the same for Pac? I can't assume either way. It's questionable. If the crap they're displaying is all done for the sake of hype, so be it. Nothing wrong with milking something for every penny possible. But in doing so they are making themselves look like complete jackasses. Then again that's a small price to pay when you're getting paid at least $25 mil.
Nah.....if the fight doesn't happen Manny won't be seen as the lesser fighter. He's gonna be remember as the fighter of the decade in an era where Floyd was in his prime. The whole PED rumor that was started will always be tied to the Mayweathers. And MOST in the sport and out of it don't think Manny is dirty. If you haven't noticed PAC by large is seen as the new "GOLDEN BOY" of boxing where Floyd is seen as the "BAD BOY" of boxing. Both are top attractions where Floyd has a tad more PPV drawing power. The way both men will be remember if they don't face one anther is going to be favorable to both Manny and Floyd but there will always be the question on who would have won. If Floyd wants to remove all doubt and show that HE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN THE HIGHEST ACCOLADES OF "BEST FIGHTER OF THE DECADE" he will have to really push getting this fight made......evn if he has to move off or go further in compromising to get this fight done.
I was referring to if he was found to be using Ped's. I don't suspect him of doing so. i think the fight will get made they have hyped it up to the hilt, and hearing Arum say he won't negotiate it through the press as it may jeopardise things shows they mean business this time. Like you say the debate would rage on for years, let's hope it's not an arty farty ending left open to interpretation like The Sopranos for example..
If you ask for a discount on a candy bar it could mean you don't have the money or if you take a look at the picture from a "landscape" view you see other elements that should be taken into consideration before offering up your conclusion. It's not just cut and dry. The kid could have been a jew and like to pinch his pennies or was a gypsy who always are looking to bargin. Floyd and Manny can and have said they are both 100% drug free...on numerous occasions. And I believe them. Whether or not it's fact NO ONE will ever know. And it doesn't matter if they passed and beat 10 USADA drug testing measures. The fact is nothing is 100% and in this particular situation there are numerous ways to beat any present day testing measures not matter how in depth they are. Both have blame in this situation...I think Arum is gettin away scott free on removing himself from the equations b/c he may be the main reason for these negotiations to collapse.
 OUCH! If Manny got caught with PED's that would be it! His legacy would be DONE! Same with Floyd. There is no room for either man to come up questionable. Shane did and his legacy while still strong took a major hit. For Manny or Floyd.....I think the impact would be far greater. This question on who will win between two of the best and most talented boxers in the last 20 yrs needs to be answered. Only way to get that answer is in the ring!
I agree with why Floyd took this angle in the lead up to the fight. He's always working angles in and out of the ring. With one thing in common....it's to his benefit. Can't hate him for it but man is it frustrating when it comes to this kind of fight.
I would agree there was gray area if Pac never agreed then disagreed. Either case this fight just needs to happen. HBO, Showtime, ESPN, and every sanctioning body needs to say, "Look fellas, this fight is in ALL of our interest. Let's do this!" IMHO, Mayweather will just solidify what we all suspect and should probably get less credit for beating Pac than Pac should for beating FMJ. I fully expect FMJ to dominate Pac. If Pac is able to even do as well as Mosley? I will be seriously surprised. I would give Pac props if he wins more than 3 rounds. He wins 5? That is a "win".
