    Hey,
Larry got caught and John is seasoned - mixed attacks body to head. There is no reason to give Larry any stick. He's still learning and has overcome adversity.
Big John has been abused for years (I gave him some stick on the old SKY Ringside about his weight!) and it is about time he had a bit more respect.
It was a cracking crossroads fight in many ways.
    Adios

Steve, I appreciate what you are saying, but larry clearly has a lot to learn and he isn't a spring chicken

If he wants to carry on, then domestic gatekeeper status is about the best he can hope for imo

Well done to McDermott cos I thought he was done confidence wise after the 2nd Fury fight and Larry would take him out early.

The very first right hand from McD steadied Larry. I had my money on MdDermott to win but thought it would be a wearing down process.

both are atrocious, not wanting to fufil their potential. john mcd is living it up for fat guys. they need to get serious or they need some trainers to make them serious.

Larry is going no-where, he has no talent, just massive power. Big John will carry on as the great gatekeeper he is, and I have no doubt Del Boy will fight him after he gets bounced by Wlad.

I like Big John and I am glad he gave the self hype machine a pasting. Especially considering all the guff McDermott gets on here due to his weight.

The thing is John isn't that horrible. He beat fury the first time IMO, and was unlucky against Danny W. Saying that, Big Larry looked less than ordinary. I was sitting behind his best mate and got chatting to him and he couldn't believe how wildly he was swinging away.

It was always going to be a 50-50 fight, Larry early or John on points was what i thought. Maybe it was just a bit too soon for Larry. But in truth, he was never going to be a world champion anyway. Hope he can come back and put a few wins together as he seems a bice bloke.

Well I've said from day 1 that Olubamiwo was an awful fighter and he got stopped very easily by McDonut. It was an embarrassing performance by Olubamiwo. He was shown up for the limited poor fighter he is. It's time for him to look elsewhere for a career.

I think Nasciemento was much better than Larry O though still very crude.

People moaning about big John's weight need to stop now he is obviously a medical mystery because he is a super fit conditioned guy and he just looks in terrible shape for some reason. He can do 12 rounds no problem thats what matters its just strange that he looks SO poorly conditioned when he is clearly not.

It shows the gulf in class between a boxer and essentially a hardman with muscles
