Hello everyone, i missed last night's fight as i was out with some of the lads, but it was only as i was assured that my friend who has setanta was recording it for me and i was supposed to go and see it today, but he was busy and i really dont wanna wait until tommorrow! Does anyone know of a link for it, youtube? Cant find it myself, massive admirer and somewhat of a fan of Hopkins here, im itching!!
Its bad isnt it??! Want to see it so badly. I was semi-surprised, i picked Pavlik, but you can never ever count Hopkins out and i knew that, my post in the pick'em thread did actually reflect that.
I don't know of a link for it, sorry, but becuase you haven't seen, I will say it's the best I've seen from Hopkins since his final prime fights of Trinidad and Joppy. He put real combinations together, used his jab, and actually threw more punches than Pavlik. He very rarely held, and was jumping in with uppercuts and left hooks at times. Even against Tarver he rarely threw real combinations and almost never used his jab (although that is probably more due to the southpaw stance) and held often there. It was a magnificent performance.
I can't help it, I'm still excited about the performance. You say Russell has a link to it? Because I did not record it and would like to see it again if he does.
