Lesnar as much as I dislike him has 10 times the stamina as Lashley. And Duffee has a paper mache Chin that is his problem.
Somethings up because these wrestlers are cardio machines. They train harder than they fight. Its a combination of age lack of experience or training regimen. Look at all the wrestlers like Carwin, Brock, Lashley. All past their primes. Sherk, Hughes were machines since they started younger. Guys like Vader and Cain, they have cardio forever. Its a combination of lots of things.
lashley lost to a dude named chad griggs at the VERY end of the second round. ok first of all to any of the WEAK CHIN idiots in this THREAD that wasnt the problem. lashley overall was winning the fight. the problem was SIMPLE. lashley gambled too much ENERGY on trying to ground and pound griggs out and did a HORRID job of it. he threw hundredz of those STUPID ASS punchez from stupid angle's with NO LEVERAGE but tonz of energy and the BULK of them were utterly USELESS as griggs was DECENT if not great at doing just enough to keep frustrating lashley witch IMO was the REASON he lost the fight because instead of ADAPT the least bit he reminded me of mark coleman when he couldnt pound maurice smith out of the cage. he just kept throwing his stupid unleveraged punches more and more until they kept being throw with less and less energy until he was actually in GREAT POSITION to finally finish griggs in the last minute until the ref stopped it with 33 secondz left to go to check the cut over lashleys eye. dispite being in AMAZING position at the time of the stoppage lashley staggered back to his corner with BREATHING trouble and had difficulty standing striaght up to let the doc check his eye. the eye was cleared the fight resumed, lashley shot with the speed of a snail stuck in tar, griggs sprawled, lashley hit the canvas face first and tried to hold one of griggs ankles and griggs hammer fisted him into oblivion until the ref stopped it at the BELL. even then lashley was concious and looked about the same as he did when the ref stopped it to check the cut. the guy could barely BREATH. IE: lashley gassed. witch doesnt mean he should of won the fight. it's actually just what really happened. overall lashley looked like a real amatuer the way he responded to his frustration to ground and pound out griggs. he seemed to become WILDER and DESPERATE with each failed hammer fist that had no effect rather than simply SWITCHING it up a bit and ADAPTING.
Well said it was a combination of gassing, bad technique and panicking when he couldn't finish the guy. The question is where does he go from here? Maybe a match with Batista isn't a bad idea now.
Lashley did get screwed, let's not forget, and I'm no fan. He either got stood up from a dominant mount, terrible decision; or he got restarted standing after a cut check when the rules state you go back to the position you were in.
Do u really think u sean sherk has the same build as lashley? Try looking at Lashley from behind and see how much mass is in his arms and shoulders.
He has an extreme amount of muscle mass, much more than his opponents. His build, especially at 170, is pretty similar in terms of proportion of muscle to other body mass, if not exact shape. Lesnar also appears to have pretty solid cardio.
Sherk tested postive for Drostalone not EPO. EPO isnt designed for muscle mass. Its for muscle hardness and stamina/CV. Still dont get what your point is because Sherk was a cardio machine up at 170 and at 55.
I was surprised that Lashley gassed so badly to be honest. He went three hard rounds with Jason Guida (another blown up light-heavyweight) eighteen months ago and though he was gassing by the end, he still won every round convincingly. He has actually lost quite a bit of weight since then, going from over 265lbs to 246lbs, and has had time to improve both in the cage and in camp. His cardio should have been better for this fight, not worse. I suspect that controlling Griggs was a lot tougher than controlling Guida, but the cut was the main factor. He looked like he started to panic when he saw all the blood and stopped pacing himself as well. He really needs to improve his submission skills too, Griggs was wide open on more than one occasion.
