masterful boxer, best technician in the world, the best boxer in the world. I have no problems to give him props, but......he bores me to sleep. I watched a klitschko fight and later the floyd bout and I love boxing, but when I watch them fight, than I dislike boxing. how can you be the best boxer in the world and do like 3-5 combination punches in the whole damn fight. this one punching hide tactic bores me to death. how can you guys watch that. I mean rigo did it and I hyped rigo, but the difference was, rigo had one if not the hardest puncher p4p infront of him, guerrero has no power. even rigo made combos and than boxed technicly, but floyd, the whole 12 rounds, only 1 punch pause, 1 punch pause, sorry, no wonder ppv is going down, even the dumbest now knows they dont get any action in a mayweather fight.
I enjoyed the fight. What I enjoyed most is watching the pinpoint accuracy, and defense all in one motion. When have you seen a fighter step in, hit someone flush, and then flat out disappear before his opponent threw a counter? Again, and again, and again.
He was shaking off the rust and used the fight as a confidence builder. Same with the Marquez fight. Anyway, I enjoyed it and it was a masterpiece considering his age...
That is your problem right there. Got news for you, there really is no difference. You are exposing your bias. You just admitted: You were ok with Rigo boxing, but not Mayweather. Even though Mayweather landed far more clean blows than Rigo did by the way. Also, Guerrero does not have "no power." Some of you guys really just crack me up. Just because somebody isn't Mike Tyson, you guys just act like you can walk through punches like they are nothing. Have you ever taken an accurate shot before? It hurts..... Unless you're some kind of cyborg......
You dont know boxing if you can't appreciate his skills. If you want to see two guys milling it out, then you can go watch UFC.
Might have something to do with Floyd's injured hand. Also, Guerrero's power is a bit underrated. He's definitely not in Golovkin's league in terms of power but he has enough to command respect. The more people complain about Floyd's "lack" of entertainment in the ring, the more I appreciate his defensive moves. Watching Guerrero spin and swing at air was amusing. Here's what I've noticed: if Floyd puts on a clean boxing clinic fans will complain about him not being aggressive enough; if he becomes more offensive minded, they'll say his skills are declining and is getting hit more often.
a decent comeback fight for the fact that he was incarcerated. I fully expect him to fight again this year though. Anyone can look like god against an opponent of Guerrero's caliber, proven by the fact that Cotto was a bit of a struggle. If he pulls it off against Alvarez now that'll deserve some props
floyd as usual played it safe but what makes it really sad is, he played it safe against someone who didn't have a chance.
How come no one else has? It's not like Guerrero is a bum. The guy has had success across several divisions and has beaten several quality fighters.
Keep to your Pacquiao threads you nasty pacturd. Floyd should risk it all, when he can easily box the **** out of a top level fighter from the outside? And end up like what, Pacquiao?
Roy Jones used to do that on a regular basis. Pernell did it too but he did it with combos which is even more impressive.
