Seriously, no one even said **** about boxing at all... Weird. To answer the bull**** question UFC 125 didn't disappoint. Guida had an exciting and bizarre fight against Gomi. Stann had a surprise first round KO over Leben and Frankie Edgar came back from one of the worst first round beatdowns I've ever seen to pull out the draw. I thought that was damn good. UFC 124 wasn't bad either. Danzig gets the surprise KO over Stevenson. We all find out Oliveira may not be as good as he seemed. Struve and Mcorkle was DAMNED exciting with Struve's awesome sweep to win the fight, and GSP showed again why he is one of the p4p best in the world with an amazingly one sided display of dominance over a top contender. TS is a troll.
I will no longer engage in a discussion with you as all you can spew is nonsense with zero substance. I am sorry high school was difficult on you.
Troll? Yep...you are right...especially when you just backtracked the previous two disappointing cards to prove my point. Thanks, noob.
TS aint no troll, I mean he displayed his formidable knowledge and insight into the fight game by using the word ****. Im not a religious man but Im off to Church later to thank God for gracing us with Lennox.
My point actually was that you don't have to even look that far back to find good UFC cards... Where do you go to find the best MMA cards?
Man life was difficult until I found you. Thank you Lennox, the irony of the 1st sentance was not lost on me. Do you sell T-Shirts with your image on it so I can spread the Gospel of Lennox to the uneducated?
If you honestly believe 125 and 124 were good cards...worth $55 a piece, then there is really nothing more to say. Struve was a good fight but between Top 30 hwy fighters (and that may be generous) and GSP completely dominated a fighter he already destroyed. I wouldn't say that provided $55 in value.
It most certainly is...you used those two most recent cards as examples of good UFC cards. I completely disagree. Of course many of the cards run into each other...but if you go through each card...the last truly good UFC card was 100. And this is issue is compounded by the fact that Zuffa is in complete control over its product and matchups and it is resulting in, too often, a **** product.
Well, Lennox, you're not entirely wrong but you seem like the kind that can't be pleased easily UFC 124 and 125 were good cards with good fights and 126 was very good on paper. Franklin/Griffin: not so exciting, who are you gonna blame, the matchmakers?? Bader/Jones: good fight but Jones was just too dominant. Silva/Belfort: Amazing Muay Thai front kick that ended the fight early where Belfort didn't look that bad And please don't use the crowd as an argument, the UFC crowd is the worst ever all sports combined, they boo the second it gets to the mat for more than 30 seconds and they'll boo in the first minute if there's not a highlight reel KO. Setting up a fight is one thing, the fighters have to actually fight. I personally hate to pay for boxing/MMA events as it's just really unpredictable. The UFC isn't worse than any MMA or Boxing orgs. Someone said in another thread that the UFC would drop in popularity due to overkill and I believe that, there's just too many cards and they can't all be exciting. If you're point is that 55$ is too much for a UFC card, I do agree with you, but overall, 90% of the time, there's one or 2 good fights that really make the card worth it. for 55$ you either watch it with a couple friends or go watch it at a bar. I also think that for some specific fights, 3 rounds just isn't enough, I felt that Griffin/Franklin could have gone on longer as they didn't really leave it all in the octagon.
It wasnt a "****" card but yet again it failed to live up to the hype which pretty much highlights the problem I'v always had with the UFC compaired to Pride, Strikeforce etc. Far too much dishoniest hype(or at least hype based on personality and nationality) and not nearly enough hype based on impressive performances. The UFC looking to maxmise there profits with such hype has resulted in them failing to sign a great many of the most entertaining fighters in the sport due to the prenium they demand(whether it be money or contracts). Thats why Strikeforce can put on superior cards with a fraction of the resources, the UFC may have say 70% of the elite talent but when it comes to the most entertaining fighters its a much mroe even spilt with SF spreading themselves much less thinly.
@ Stoo, I'm with you bro, Lennox please enlighten us more with your genious knowledge of MMA. One has to wonder why you continue to watch UFC cards (not too mention waste $$$ and time on them) if you find them so boring??
