i think Froch is a better draw than Direll , Green , Johnson , Jermain t and others.

    Thanks for the reply.
    Some things don't make sense.

100% Correct. But SHO can not say: "we want you to face Ward next if you can't pull that fight it's your fault, you lose money". Such a contract would not even be legal as a contract can not involve a third party and be signed only by two.

    That's exactly what I'm saying.

:huh Now this leaves me scrathing my head. I don't get it. No way Showtime lets Bute fight Froch? What are they going to do about that? Kill them mob style? So what if they don't want Bute to fight Froch? I can not believe that Bute signed a list of "not fighting this guys for the next 20 years" and Froch was on top of that list.

Excellent news! I doubt SHO doesn't have team Ward's phone nomber. Call them and convince them. I don't think Bute or anyone else has a problem with this. If SHO wants the fight then they must call Ward and his team imediately. Bute already did.

Still i don't understand how Hopkins would have a fight with Bute ? Hopkins is with HBO television .

SHOtime wants this fight to happen ( ward vs bute ) and we want, but Andre Ward and his management team said that Bute has to prove himself against fighters as Froch / Kessler in a fight !! This is a shity situation . :patsch

What happens if the "someone" you're reffering to doesn't want to fight? I really, really doubt such a contract exists. As I stated, a contract signed by two parties can in no way oblige a third party. It's illegal.
You and me can not make a contract on who's going to f**k Jennifer Lopez at the end of the month :). We need her signature too.

My question is, if SHO can "force"( if that's the case, remains to be seen) Bute to fight who they want can they ''force'' Ward to fight Bute? Is Ward still tied in anyway to SHO even if the S6 is over ?

BS politics :-( meanwhile the fans wait....

No,to the contrary my friend.Showtime has only 1 fight left on the contract with Bute and they expect him to fight an American fighter of their choice, namely Ward,if at all possible. If not Ward then perhaps Dirrel.Hopkins is an HBO fighter,so his chances are not good, but again, possible.

This makes no sense. Bute Hopkins would be boring as hell and Bute Ward would be good but less entertaining than Bute Froch. Hopkins is pulling political strings again.

    Good question.

Assuming such a contract exists... why are there rumors Bute will fight a can? Will SHO force Bute to fight a can and give Bute over 1 mil for that one?

Precisely. And frankly there's only one possible fighter better than Froch and that is Ward.

So I got a feeling that we haven't been told the full story.

Worse case scenario would be a tuneup in March or April then Andre Dirrel in the summer as the last of the contract fights.

Still pisses me off though.....they signed him as an attraction, not to manage him. He should be allowed to fight who he wants if the IBF sanctions it, even if it means us seeing him beat George, Green or Groves.:deal
