Did you really think Khan couldKO a fighter who was capable of holding his hands up? 2008 Tszyu would KO Khan in 30 seconds.
I thought three things: 1. St Clair would be very faded by the late rounds; 2. Ref would stop the fight prematurely as Khan flurries St Clair against the ropes; 3. St Clair payed to get stopped on a TKO to hype Khan even more - the only man who could stop St Clair!
Good points it will be an exceptional achievement if he becomes a titlist and perhaps i'm expecting or wanting too much from him. But I think Hatton and Calzaghe have set a pedestal.
Yeah, but none of them were Champ at 21! Not that it's by any means guaranteed that Khan will be Champ at 21. Joe became Champ at 25; Hatton, at 22, if you consider WBU a title....only beat Tszyu at 27 for the IBF...
I was almost sick listening to it all. If you didn't know better you'd think Khan was the second coming of Christ and all because he beat a blown up super featherweight who has seen better days.
I think khan would batter Thaxton to defeat in 6 or 7 rounds. people seem to forget the way Dave Stewart, a tall fast pure boxer gave Thaxton hell, & had Thaxton wobbled many times. That fight told me that Khan would have a field day with Thaxton. Dont get me wrong, I admire Thaxtons balls for calling Khan out, but its a good job Khan isnt looking at a Thaxton fight, cos Khan wouldnt run out of gas like Stewart did, & a badly cut, hurt & swollen Thaxton would be pulled out by his corner at the end of round 7. Howzat for a prediction
I agree with the people here who think that Khan would stop Thaxton if they fought now, by around the 7th. Thaxton would have a point to prove and not be in there to survive as was St Clair's tactic. It would be a better fight for the fans to watch aswell.
