I have been torn trying to make a decisive choice which has been proven to be extremely difficult with the amount polarizing opinions and analysts surrounding this fight. It's indeed a pick em fight and I must prelude my prediction in saying that because I can certainly envision this scrap playing out in a number of different ways. I've concluded that Manny Pacquiao will indeed succeed in winning his 7th title in 7th weight division and here's why: -Pac has legitimate WW power. I believe that Cotto will feel just how hard Pac punches and he will feel that power early in the fight. -Pac will be the fastest fighter Cotto has ever fought against; and I mean that in a number of ways including hand speed and movement. Cotto has obviously fought fast handed fighters like Mosley and Judah but nothing like Pac who's throws punches in bunches with equal velocity throughout his combinations. Pac will also prove to be an evasive target that will quickly fade out of range after landing sharp hard punches. -Pac has become adept at executing Roach's game plan. Clearly the instructions of Roach will be to avoid Cotto left hand and to land punches before Cotto can set his feet. Pac's rhythm and speed makes it a capable strategy and I think he's disciplined enough now to execute the plan throughout the fight, even against a fighter the caliber of Miguel Cotto. -Lastly and probably the most obvious advantage is that Pac's assortment of skills and talent is accentuated by his south paw stance. The inverted angle of attack always makes a difficult dealing especially when the already awkward punches are compounded with exceptional speed, power, and precision. Sometimes it takes fighters a few rounds just to get accustomed to the inverted stance and all the while those few round proves to be taxing. Conclusion is Pac by TKO in 4. :deal ......................(I think. :blood) May the best man win though. :good ................................................ Has anyone else out there struggled to make a choice in this fight as I have?
Yep I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if Pacquiao dominates. I see him getting the TKO in the mid-late rounds.

Hmmm I'm slightly concerned for Pac at the moment. Partly due to how good Cotto looked at the weigh in, and partly due to the hype and anxiety being created by some of Cotto's fans on this board. I admit I'm falling for it slightly, and am starting to believe that he is gonna be a nightmare for Manny tomorrow. I predict a lot of punishment for both guys, ending in a UD for Cotto. That's my final prediction. (PS, in Pac's last two fights I picked against him, and he proved me wrong. I hope this will be a hat trick)
Final Prediction Pac by KO on 3 possible rounds 5-7-8 Elaboration and Logic explanation [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LscZAJjsZak&feature=related[/ame]
Here's how I see this fight panning out... Manny Pacquiao establishes himself as the faster and sharper fighter right from the opening bell. After a round or two of dashing in and out, landing at will Manny begins to feel his oats and starts to open up. This comes back to bite him somewhere around round #4 when Cotto shows his resilence and his physical strength. Cotto lands some damaging blows and though Pac throws his hands out to the sides and smiles, he's visibly shaken. Cotto may even score a knockdown somewhere between round 4 and 6 but in round number 7 Manny Pacquiao will re-establish his dominance en route to a TKO stoppage in round #7 or #8. How eerie would that be if I was exactly right!
i dunno why i just still cant see pacman winning man had cotto never lost to margarito we wouldnt even be talking about this fkn fight .. its amazing how one loss to a fighter no one wanted to fight all of a sudden makes cotto a pushover? and by manny? look at who cotto has fought competed against and beaten all bigger stronger guys yes the Xfactor is the speed but 2 pretty competant fighters come to mind when we talk about speed in judah and mosely .. cotto can more than handle the speed .. all this being said i just hope its a badass fight and as competitive as possible
cotto is probably a little terrified of towels he might accidently try and catch it and throw it back =/
