last minute ticket for the khan hate train?

agree with ya all the way buddy, as a british asian myself its sometimes embarassing to hear him talk, the boy lacks any kind of charisma and i think its fair to say he isnt much of an articulate speaker, his vocabulary being limited to nonesense jargan such as ''ya know what i mean'' and ''thanks man'' i know he's from a working class family from bolton but for god sakes Mr.Khan try going the distance with the oxford dictionary.
i personally belive he doesnt mean to say some of the crap coming out of his mouth, his poor use of speech makes him sound like a ****, i respect khan as a boxer but he'll never develop the personality naz and co had

 

To be fair none of that makes him a bad guy. He is a boxer but modern boxing being what it is he is having to act the showman. By making a guy who is not one of lifes talkers play this game it is giving him an unfair image. With time he will relax and will then come accross better.

I never heard the interview Rooq my man, but I wouldnt be too harsh on the lad. Hes young, great things are expected of him so of course hes going to give it the big talk, even if you can tell its forced, & doesnt come naturally. I think deep down hes a down to earth young lad, I seen him on the Paul O'Grady show & he was articulate, came across as a nice fella, he had the audience laughing with him & handled himself well.

His fighting talk is just a bit of bluster to sell himself, but I wouldnt read too deeply into it at this stage. Hes still 'learning the game' inside & out of the ring, & its easy to tell that the Hamedesque style boasts are manufactured, & it isnt his 'bag' so dont be too judgemental yet, thats what I say.

sounds like a typical 19 year old , no command of the queens english....

essentially i dont give a ****....i am interested in his boxing...lets his gloves do the talking....the way i see it...if beckham can carry out a full sentence these days, ANYONE can.

Nothing wrong with that when he's speaking to a mate , but even footballers are able to give better interviews than him . Footballers don't have to have personalities that attract crowds but boxers do , whether he wants to go down the Carl Froch 'loudmouth' or Hatton 'just one of the lads' routines he's going to have to improve his public speaking .

Khan stumbles threw his words a lot and it is apparent he has a problem expressing what is in his head , it is Frank Warren's job as his promoter to try and help him fix that .

 

So his lack of eloquency is a good enough reason for you to be [SIZE=-1]emmbarassed as a fellow [/SIZE]Asian??? Perhaps just being an Asian [SIZE=-1]emmbarasses you.

[/SIZE]Sure I enjoy a good speaker but Khan has an entertaining style which more than makes up for it. Besides hes going to improve on it I'm sure with time.
And how is he not humble? Hes shown respect for all his opponents including his next one. If Limmond himself has said that Khan has treated him with a lot of respect, why do you have an issue with Khans humility? Yeh the boy believes in his ability, and has every reason to given what he accomplished as 17 yr old.

He's used his high profile in positive ways, including numerous charities and support for his community . Other than jealousy I really dont get the unjust criticism especially coming from an Asian. The pressure on the kid has been immenese since he was thrust into the spotlight 3 years ago and hes coped with it rather well.

 

you mature into this stuff. Remeber giggs could hardley get a word out when he was a kid, rooney was embarrassing... not everyone has Naz's wit and public speaking confidence.

Of all the young british superstars, only Hamilton gives a good interview....and he has been trained by McLaren since he was 14, even he made a PR mistake calling the other drives down the grid monkeys.

Andy Murray, wayne Rooney, and now Khan have all been embarrassed in the paper by what they have said in interviews.

On Radio Five they put the Khan interview in context, in that it sounded like a post fight interview as he gave it straight after doing an hour public workout in front hundreds and hundreds of screaming fans (girls?), so the adrenaline was really pumping, and he was speaking very quickly......but his vocabulary is shocking.

I wouldnt expect him to be the same way on michael parkinson

 

Frankly, I don't care how well-schooled Khan is, but I am disappointed whenever he comes across as arrogant. It just does not suit him. For him, it's a PR mistake as well as just being silly, in general.

 

First of all, it's not the "Khan hate" train, it's simply "the anti-Khan train".

As the commanding De Facto leader and instigator of this fine express, I welcome anyone who wants to jump aboard this classy ride whenever they like, doesn't matter if you're an original or a neutral/former supporter, so long as you realise the fraudulency of this joke.

The anti-Khan train is completely Political, it is not racist, bigoted or childishly biased. The anti-Khan train does however have a cemented place for CHIN CHECKING and Khan's grade A china chin is a big factor in the anti-Khan train's agenda preaching.

So you are welcome Rooq, he is indeed an embarassment and while you are citing some basic surface issue's with Amir Khan and the fraud pile backing him, you have not even begun to dive deep into the real problems of this insanity trip.

Frankly I'd be tired of his interviews if all I heard so far was "I'm learning my trade..." Your point is taken. Ok so he sounded like a typical 19-20 yr old would and agreed hes not a natural speaker. But, actions speak louder than words, his skills in the ring and how he conducts himself will speak for itself.

 

You need to get realistic and grow up.
